How much Oil should I put on my 2006 CBR 600rr?

Does anyone know how many Qt of oil I need to put on my bike..
It's a CBR 600rr 2006............
I will be doing the oil change by myself and thats the only info I can't find..
I saw somewhere on google that it takes 3.1Qt of oil....
But I wanna make sure...I don't have a Manual or Service manual.
Will buy one soon, but every store has to other the damn book, and I cant wait 2 weeks to do my oil change..

No service manual and no clue on the specs or capacities of your bike, and you want to do the work yourself?

it will take approx. 3.5 with an oil filter change. it will be in your owners manual

buy 4 qts/a gallon. it won't take that much. put 3 of 4 qts in and look at the sightglass as you add the 4th. put in about 3 oz at a time making sure to NOT overfill it. gluck

a 2 week wait for the manual will be an order of magnitude shorter than the wait for rebuilding the engine

Thats ok I don't need to read the whole book to the an oil change...
I'm an ASE certified mechanic but for cars..........Not bikes!!!
It shouldn't be that different....
Plus I used to work for a honda dealer....I know all the details...The only thing is that the bike doesn't have the sticker that says the quantity of oil on it...As for that I came to barf for a quick guide!!!!
I'm just gonna put 3 quarts and check the level.. and add little by little until I have reached a certain level....

as for the in/on/perfect thing look here

i learned later that i did in fact instally the cap correctly. the full line is actually too full, pressure builds and voila, you get a funny picture or two of me.

Check the level, start it and run it, check it again. The final check should be with bike level and about a minute after you turn off the motor.
