Oh thats great. Due me a favor next time your bike gets stolen or your house gets broken into don't call the "fuckin police" deal with it on your own and see if anything gets resolved.

I believe the person who posted this has a right to his opinion. However there is a lesson I was tought right here on BARF. Keep the I hate cops stuff to a minimum. Not only do you insult, piss off and show a lack of respect for the same people that would "in their line of duty" protect your life. Unless you have the guts, intelligence and balls to be a Cop. I wouldn't disrespect them on their own turf. Right Ken?

I hate the fact that there are people riding or driving around that can mess with my freedom. Maybe that's an immature attitude, but it's honest. I don't hold this against police though.

I can't say most cops are one way or another. Most who I have met are ok and seem like good people. A few I've met were complete assholes. One thing I've noticed as I've gotten older is that I look at many things as less black and white (pun not intended) and more gray. I've also noticed that I can appreciate the role a cop plays. I can appreciate that their job kind of requires a certain authoritarian or suspicous or overly macho frame of mind.

I know that for the most part I'd be happy to see a cop when I needed one and if I don't want to see one I can play by the rules.
 
I do think it's pretty amusing that a cop starts an 'I hate cops' thread to 'vent' and then all the other cops jump in to give the 'venters' shit. ;)

Where the hell is that 11 button!?!?! Guess I need to handle this myself. :teeth
 
I didn't hate cops. I still don't, the ones I have ridden with have been some of the coolest and nicest people I have met. I do hate lawyers, and 99% of the entire law enforcement establishment that exists in Vallejo. That includes some cops, and DAs who are on a power trip that are late, dishonest scum interested only in lining the pockets of the county, their friends, and themselves. There are very few people that I really hold a grudge against, but there are a couple in Vallejo. Stay out of Vallejo, and if they want to chat, run quickly and don't look back, it's better that way.
