I need a snake

What if said puppy kept pissing faster than anyone could clean it up, and you can't call facilities, because the dog isn't supposed to be in the building in the first place?

I love puppies, but I think that if they're not trained, you shouldn't bring them in to work where they can piss and poo on other people's things. I'm all about responsible pet ownership. I can't be responsible, so therefore, I don't own a pet. Hence I would need to borrow a snake rather than go get my own.

I think the woman with the dog is going to get a talking to, and she'll have to figure out a new plan

You should have spoken with HR or her manager from the beginning, no?

Don't be irresponsible with someone else's snake or pet. You may find yourself with the problem of it having bitten another employee, or dead and having to replace it, or both.

Instead of letting the snake roam around, just wrap it around your shoulders and go about your daily office business.

I know you don't know me, so let me reassure you: I'm not stupid. Of course I already brought my concerns up to my manager and hers. I also wouldn't really bring a snake in and let it run loose. I might bring it in and leave it in a cage in my desk, but wouldn't let it go free. I just thought it was a funny idea.

Thanks for clarifying.

Seriously, explain to HR that it is making for an uncomfortable work environment and that the disruption is making it difficult for you to get work done in a timely manner.

Good luck!

anyone else hungry? i could totally go for some soft taco right about now.

that or a ham sammich.

maybe a hot pocket.

they all sound good.

My office lets people bring their dogs to work and we've got several around the office that are here daily. They're chill, mellow animals for the most part and don't tend to drop a duce on the carpet. I think it's actually a good thing despite me not being much of a dog person...

My wife takes our dog to work with her sometimes but she checked with everyone first. He doesn't leave landmines and she brings one of these to keep him in her cube.
