Jeep knocks over Duc 4/29 in SF, who left the note?

It's not the accolades that the mysterious good Samaritan is trying to avoid, it's the subpoenas to depositions and trials he will get that means he has to take time off work to testify without pay.....:wow

Does this really happen? Twice now I've happened to witness minor accidents, and have been able to give my contact info to the not at fault party. Both times the insurance companies in question called me, I gave statements over the phone, and that was that. Took maybe 10 minutes. The insurance company reps were unfailingly polite and courteous.

Who goes to court over a property damage claim?

As far as I am aware, all trucks (I assume that a Jeep Charokee would also fall in this category) get commercial plates. Every truck I have owned in California has been issued a commercial plate without me asking or having to pay extra for one.

That's been my experience.

Geico called me today. They wanted to confirm my mailing address because the Jeep driver paid up! :party

I get my deductible back. They're mailing me a check. :thumbup:thumbup

Thank you thank you thank you to the good person who left the original note! (I do sort of wonder what sort of arm twisting techniques Geico used ...)

BTW, the Vespa rider got a whole new scoot ....
Great news.
OT:
If I pickup any neg. vibes about a parking situation I whip out my phone and shoot a pic of the license plate and the vehicle. I don't know if people see that and pay attention or not. However the only time I've had problems are when I didn't take a pic.
