kitty was recovered!

you can sue them, they are also held liable by a civil court standards. there are times when the state will pay out the person sueing and collect from criminal later.

Wish you could sue the guy who stole your bike for damages, the $485 your out, and tack on a couple hundred extra for all the trouble they caused in your life including going down to pick up your bike. (transportation fees to get your bike and time out of your life should be another couple hundred $400-$500 at min.)

Depending on the damage (looks like both sides are going to need replacing & the tank, tail section?) I honestly think that the theves owe you about $8,000 to $10,000. If they cant afford it they should be put to work in some harsh environment making $3.50 an hour until they pay you off.

No luck on the spy pics. If the tow yard is at the same location as the office, all of the vehicles are in a warehouse and nobody was there.

Will they allow you to see it before you pick it up?

Glad to hear it was recovered though. Best of luck with working the details out.

Congrats on getting the bike back. Took awhile but, all works out in the end. Good luck on getting the bike on the streets. Can't wait to see that bike become a streetfighter.

Wow- you're only lucky mofo, all things considered. I've never heard of *anyone* recovering a stolen bike 6+ months later!

no pics yet. haven't even made it all the way home yet. stopped at a buddy's in fairfield.

i'll post up tomorrow or the next day. all the plastics except the rear cowl are broken. all being held on/together with zip-ties. i need a right clip-on...else, help with installing some MX bars on it... preferrably dirtbike bars though, as i'm gonna strip the bike of all it's plastics, but a little acerbis headlight on it, dirtbike bars, and call it done.

oh yeah, and i need to find a new gas cap assembly thing, as they popped it, and now it doesn't lock closed. :(

anyone interested in an 87 VFR for $1000? :)
