GP Suspension is the booth...will probably be lots of HD guys as we've moved that direction for products. We still do sport bikes/ race bikes, but much less than 5 years ago or so as numbers have fallen in that segment. Corey Neuer and Jake (Zemke) should be there as well, if you know those guys.

From being there today, it seems that both MotoAmerica and Laguna Seca are doing a great job this year. There's better food options, and all 7 vendors showed up for demo rides. The pit action is engaging - teams are putting a lot of effort into doing well Saturday and Sunday. First time riding Suzuki GSX bikes - they are fantastic.

Laguna Seca is doing better with a refurbished screens on the leader tower. That was great!

Cool to see Kayla Yaakov place 3rd on Saturday. Too bad she crashed out of 3rd early on Sunday.

Also cool to put a face to Berto & have a friendly conversation Sunday.

Hey Berto,

Sorry we didn’t get to link up at Laguna Seca was really hoping to finally meet you.

I rolled out from Petaluma and headed down Highway 25 with some friends. We ended up staying at my buddy’s mom’s place in Paso Robles — she was incredibly hospitable and made us feel totally at home. Barbecue, swimming, the whole deal. Just an awesome stop and a great way to kick off the weekend.

From there I ran Highway 1 up from San Luis Obispo, which was just an amazing ride. Perfect roads and perfect weather.

Caught the races on Sunday and had a blast. MotoAmerica at Laguna always delivers.

Rode back up Highway 1 on Monday, another killer ride. Stopped at Alice’s both ways good food, good vibe, good times.

Anyway, just wanted to give you the update and say sorry we missed each other. We’ll catch up next time for sure.

I dropped by on Thursday night and had a lot of positive interactions. Here's what stood out for me.

This custom bike highlighting Latino lowrider culture in an artichoke theme. Very clean. Maybe an Indian from the Gilroy years? I donno, but I appreciate that this is functional art. Balanced & definitive, celebrating cultural roots.




This is an 80's Suzuki GSX inline 4, with the original owner letting me start it and rev it. It is very personal to him. Awesome


A Multistrada crew representing



A local MC crew with a couple Victories. They were patient with me as I tried to chat them up.



This one was different. The rider has customized this bike to represent his history and culture as a 60's born Okinawan. It features a 27000 watt stereo system. Effectively, this was louder and clearer than the MotoAmerica PA system. Note the dual Samuri swords. I think 9 subwoofers and many tweeters n'such. Great guy to chat with - passionate about culture and customization, kinda like most people there.



I think the sound system was part of a custom group thing. When the Samuri bike turned down, this Slingshot person turned it up


Thursday night also featured smaller rides. I am conflicted on this one and did not figure out who was riding it. A Niner flag in the back, with a Cowboy "talking duck" up front? In the history of the Niner/Cowboy rivalry, how interesting that someone lives on both sides of it. F**n awesome. A talking duck makes a lot of sense at times - a solid A++ farkle.

Love 25 - great road. Weekends you’ll find a bit more traffic to contend with, especially cars pulling boats/campers/water toys. Plenty of passing opportunities, except where the twisties are, which is where you’ll likely find them.

You really won’t spend any time on 198 if you’re planning to take Peach Tree/Indian Valley down to Paso. It’s just a jog at the end of 25, and then you’re on Peach Tree.

There are a couple of decreasing radius turns on 25 that can catch you off guard, so if you’re planning on a spirited ride, just beware. Also, things get narrower and goatier south of 198. You won’t encounter many vehicles, except the odd dually coming the other way from around a blind right hander that has gravel on the inside - another gotcha opportunity.

Just wanted to send a big thank‑you your way. I finally got out on Highway 25, and man… what a ride. That stretch of California absolutely lit me up. Your 411 on the road was spot‑on and honestly made the whole thing even better.

Those decreasing‑radius turns you warned me about? Yep, they are there for sure. Saw a big dead bloated pig on the side of the road.
And that goatier‑than‑expected section south of 198? Let’s just say I now understand what that looks like.
Your heads‑up kept me watching out any farm trucks.

Seriously, I appreciate the encouragement. It was super awesome, and your advice made it even more fun.

I had great weekend riding up 46 and 1 on Saturday. Cannery Row Saturday night. Races Sunday. Ride 1 up the coast Monday for breakfast at Alice’s and then back to Petaluma.
