Overall the Valencia trip was outstanding! I saw things and did things that were awesome and I tried to memorize as much as I could. Rc211V's run twelve clutch plates, and I watched as the mechanics swapped out the primary drive gear in the engine so that they wouldn't have to change the individual tranny ratios. Eight bolts to access the cover under the dry clutch assembly before you can get to some carne and patatas. Tire change during qualifying? 23 seconds. Not the fastest but still very impressive. Now that I'm back in BCN, the hard work of making my connections pay begins. I've been in contact with Luca Montiron of the Konica Minolta team, Peter Clifford of WCM, Erv Kanemoto of Repsol/HRC, Harold Eckl of Kawasaki, Paul Denning of Suzuki, Fausto Gresini of Fortuna Honda, Sito Pons (no luck and no connection here. Rats). More contacts and emails to go, and hopefully, just hopefully something turns up.
