When I was in grade school, back in the 70's, my neighbors bought one of those three-wheel 8 HP mini bikes with the stretched out front, fiber glass shell, and huge balloon tires with the big knobs on the tires. They used to ride it down the alley. They normally wore a helmet. One time the one kid took his sister for a ride while she sat on top above him straddling the shell. After a couple of runs, he clipped a big boulder on the side of the alley, which cased the bike to flip and cart wheel. Luckily, his sister had the helmet on, because she landed on her head. The driver was strapped into the seat, so no one git hurt other then a couple of scraps. Could have turned really ugly.
Kinda like this but more sporty looking and sat lower to the ground.
The older brother took it to the park and flipped it over backwards trying to ride it up a steep hill. The exhaust pipe got bent and crimped. They continued to ride it like that but it was slower because the exhaust was choked. That ended up blowing the engine.
