McRib is returning!

Now I get what you are wanting me to do. And I already thought about it over a quarter century ago.

I tried it back when I worked at McDonalds. Tried all kinds of variations. Adding cheese, McChicken, hash brown (actually works well), hamburger patties, and just about anything you can think of.

Best double decker McRib I tried was when I used a second bun bottom to make a middle part just like a Big Mac, but I soaked it in the BBQ sauce for a little while (a variation of the Monica Gellar “moistmaker” perhaps) before putting it together. Ahhh good times. $4.25/hr was absolutely criminal considering how hard I worked most of the time there, but getting the food at the absolute freshest and getting to play mad scientist back there sometimes made it interesting.

Sounds like your mechanical aptitude showed itself at McDonald’s. I will experiment with a pair of McRibs in your honor.

The new twist here is that now McDonalds has breakfast all day. So it is actually possible for a civilian to get the hash brown layer version I made so many years ago. Seriously, it works. No pickle or onions....well onions I suppose would be acceptable if you must, but pickles should be nowhere near that sammich ever. Then order a hash brown and slip it in there. Matter of fact, I’ll take a trip down memory lane tomorrow.

I can’t just order the McRob?

I had 2 for lunch. Very disappointed on taste and presentation. Sauce was tasteless and looked nothing like the pic. The fries were horrible too. Little 1" slivers without taste as well. Then my belly swelled like I was on a beer binge. Been 10 years since I had McD's. Prolly be another 10 before I go back.

To each their own.

But for people that are on team McRib....

Just had the McRob, eh... probably had my last one in the mid to late 90s, not that I'm old or anything, and I see why I haven't had one since. A good burger is way the fuck better.

That's right, Rob... I said it!

Because why? Have they banned injection molded mechanically separated meat paste or something?

They have it all year round. It's anecdotal of course but I find McDonalds a lot better in other countries. The spicy chicken in India was pretty good at McDonalds, the Burger King chicken burger was like the best I'd had at a fast food restaurant and I even had a decent Shrimp burger at McDonalds in Singapore.

Ahhh gotcha. Lots of nasty chemical preservatives are banned in europe.

You are supposedly from Canada and no mention of the McLobster or Poutine? :rolleyes
