McRib

Lol that you think mcrib/mcDs eaters care what's in their products besides cheapness, quickness and flavor

I guess the whole fascination with this Frankenstein product escapes me.

Especially when making perfectly tasty smoked ribs at home is not that difficult at all.

Haven’t had the pleasure of trying this product but heard it’s not the tripe but the rectum that gives it it’s distinctive flavor. btw these parts are as or more nutritious than whatever is in their ‘cheese’ ‘burger’. And there is only one per animal, prolly why it is so pricey :dunno. Mebbe they should reshape it and call it the McA** or McButt to really up their sales pitch. I’ll spare all y’alls brains the AI image of that :laughing.

We used to eat calf liver semi-routinely as a kid. I don't see it much now, haven't had it in years, but it shows up in restuarants now and again.

My Dad liked chicken livers, my Mom liked beef tounge. Both were common at grocery stores.

I used to like head cheese. They used to sell it next to the bologna, Oscar Meyer made it.

My Mom used to say that we used everything on the pig except the squeal and the curve of the tail.

Ever have a Slim Jim or similar "meat(tm)" snack? Beef heart is common in those.

The McRib is "all pork". Which pork is up to debate, but it's like sausages. Not necessarily the finest cuts of meat go into those. Ever have chorizo? Does it really matter what's ground up in that concoction?

I like the McRib. I like the sauce, I like the bun, pickles, and onions. I'm betting without the sauce, it's not that tasty, but, to quote "Fried Green Tomatores", "Secret's in the sauce!".

The sauce and the bun are the reason I wouldn't touch it (or any fast food, for that matter.)
I've got no problem with the pork by-products. :laughing

@TheRobSJ keeping both the McRib and Shoe economy afloat. LOL I haven't had one in years, I should get one this time around. Are you the new Donald Gorske? :laughing JK
