Meaningless statements

I'm still trying to figure out why Coors is "the Banquet Beer." I know, it says it on the label, but really.....

Just look at its packaging........Retro-colored can, and a stubby old-skool bottle. See, Coors knows there's a lot of trendy guys who pride themselves on "re-discovering" retro brands like PBR, Genesee, and Captain Morgan, to give themselves a break from constantly "discovering" new-skool brands that "try too hard". This allows them to hit the pause button and add some stability to their meaningless suburban lives.

I took this class in college to fill my schedule one term and it was called "Thinking". It totally sounded like one of those silly liberal arts classes where you do pointless group projects, and it was at 8 a.m. so I was hating this class before I walked through the door. Turned out to be one of the most useful set of lessons of my entire life. Part of it was finding the fallacy of advertising. The stuff that these companies pull is hysterical.

"Ribbed for her pleasure."

Like I care........

In the last few years, I've noticed a trend that the number of adjectives used to describe a food item is inversely proportional to how normal the item is.

Bacon and eggs has transformed into two delicious strips of hickory smoked bacon, served with 2 organic free range farm fresh eggs.

It allows hipster joints to justify high menu prices for the same shit that a generic diner would sell for a third of the price.

I like a motel that advertises,"clean rooms." as opposed to the shotgun murder room I had last time...
