Mellow Group Ride - MGR - Sat 8/9

in.

someone mentioned a barf thread about the San Mateo popo doing a pogrom in the Santa Cruz mountains this weekend...can't find it. Did anyone else see this?

Out :( Got stuff that I need to take care of today. I also read about the increased LEO presence down there this weekend, everyone stay safe.

Big B ... awesome ride ... as always ...

I didn't see any LEO's ... ??? did anybody else ?

Great ride Bryan. Reminded me of the good old days. Great group too. All nice and tight 😉

I got a LOT of helmet taps coming back up 84 from Pescadero this morning, and sure enough a moto cop had a green kawi pulled over on the westbound side a few miles down from Alice's. So yeah, they were out.

Awesome ride!

Chris and I accidently went off the predetermined route. The total distance travelled for this ride from my place all the way back to my place was supposed to be slightly less than 100 miles but my tripmeter said I did over 160 miles (the full gas tank did come in handy). :)

I think we went on Highway 1 all the way upto Santa Cruz. That route is truly lovely (just next to the ocean).

Thank you Chris for leading and sweeping our group of two for that 2 hour plus seat time. :)

Nice ride today. Thanks for setting it up B and the snap shot of my back side lol. Until next time, ride safe everyone.

Thanks and apologies

Hey everyone,

I'm the guy who crashed on the Ninja 300.

I just wanted to let you all know that I really appreciate the advice and understanding when it came to waiting, etc..

Although everyone said it was cool and I believe you guys, I still feel bad for the lost time.

I've been riding for over a year now, but mostly highway/commute. This was my 2nd big group ride over the twisties.

Thanks,

-Tim

Glad you are ok. MGR is not about "who gets there first" but about having fun, learning from other riders, and most importantly getting home safe. You ride your own pace and don't worry about slowing others down. The "lead" sets the pace and the "sweeper" makes sure to watch your backside.

The great thing about this MGR is the groups can be split up into more groups. Until next time, ride safe. :thumbup

Great ride as always, BigB. Thanks to leads and sweeps.

From early fog in Belmont, I headed to Cars & Coffee in Soquel (Santa Cruz), then Canepa in Scotts Valley, then our ride, then back to Belmont. Great riding day!
