Misfits Patch Vote!!!

Ok, we've gotten sponsored

Which means that this is getting a kick in the butt to get finished.

So I've got 4 options and am waiting for a 5th option that was asked for.

I will be taking donations from the Misfits at both the PLP ride, and the Breakfast Challenge, and any other date's in the future... I have no minimum, or maximum, but based on the head count of those who would be considered Misfits, 10 dollars from everyone and no one would have to donate more then that for the original batch. From the quotes I was given this should be sufficient if we all pitched in. I am getting some new quotes to compare the prices of the designs, sizes, shapes, and colors/amount of colors. Also as my original quotes were for Iron On patches, and people requested sew-on.

What's your 10 dollars buy you??? Absolutely nothing, not even a guarantee of a patch

I'm thinking of ordering 100 patches, plenty for those who donate, future Misfits, and if we got the 100 patches we could donate some to the BARF store to sell and contribute to this great site!!! And I do have paypal if you want to send cash as you don't plan on attending any of our current Misfit Rides.

So we are holding a poll here on BARF.... which means a couple things...

1... we need the Misfit's to vote. I've got 25+ who I've ridden with in Misfit or Northbay Group rides who are considered a "Misfit" and so I'd hope to have atleast 15 Misfit's to vote. This poll will show who voted for what, and I've got a list.

2... Misfit vote's count more then BARF vote's... sorry BARF but it's just the way it is... if you have that much of a problem with your vote not counting, send me some $$$, come out on a Misfit ride or two, and it'll change the mind of those in power and ensure you get one of the patches you demanded.

I have 4 patches designed and the option for a 5th if I can get the rights to the font style used in the website's BARF banner. One has been contributed by Patty-J, and the rest are by me since no one else stepped up... again if you have an idea, get crackin and let's see it...

First off, The Koi patch that I got a proof designed by a company

Next is the same patch, in it's non proof form, and with periods in between the letters... so instead of BARF it's now B.A.R.F. as requested

Now we have Patty-J's patch design, which I love the fish on but am worried the amount of colors will increase the cost.

And lastly a new design I thought of driving home the other day and am throwing it out there

The 5th design would basically be....

With "MISFITS" in the same text style and a similar gradient...

koi, what size patch are you thinking of? I've got a local person who can make patches. I don't see the point of making 50 or 100 patches because they will be cheaper per piece. And I've learned it's not the amount of colors but the stitch count that determines the cost. These guys are using some fancy cnc-like embroidery machines, so it's really the amount of thread they use that determines the cost. I assume if we wanted some exotic thread, that would bump the cost up. Folks, just vote for the one you LIKE best, then we'll figure the rest out. When we have the first and second winners, I can find out how much it would cost to do 20-25 patches. Hey, we're not retail, we're are exclusive!

koi, what size patch are you thinking of?

Definitely get a quote at your local guy... cheaper the better but get us a quote...

roughly thinking a 3 x 3 or somewhat close to that depending on the patch, 3x2.5 on the ovals would be fine, 3x2 on the rectangle plate. wotever seems to work the best

But it comes down to price point, and I do think we should have more then just one a piece, cause I know I'm gonna want a few for my gear, my tool box, and my father will kill me if he doesn't get one, exclusive or not we should do it at once instead of making a good batch, then a cheap knock off batch later cause we wanted to add someone.

If we already got 25+ members, we're talking a batch of 30, so get a quote for 30, a quote for 50 and a quote for 100, see wot's cheaper...

online it's almost the same price for a bunch vs a little.

I understand there is no life east of I-5 but Idaho is not overseas....

Funny enough 2 of the 3 companies I talked to ((and yes one of my first questions was where were they produced)) were from opposite sides of the great potato state and knew of each other's business... one even dropped the price lower then the other's to compete.

But I'm down for local if he's cheaper , again, get me 3 quotes, 30, 50, 100 patches, no backing, for each design... cheap is guud but make sure they're quality patches... don't need something unraveling at 50+mph...

Nobody mentioned a design that would combine barf and misfits?

Such as. ~barfITS~ (big or small F) i could imagine the barf part in the traditional color font, and the ITS is the puke/monster green style.

or even something like ~barf I nefinger S~

Sponsored meaning someone's putting their own money up to get it started and the "donations" are going back to that person to help recoop the cost.... but they would like to rename nameless within the Misfits so I am considering them a "sponsor"

And I don't guarantee a patch cause it's not my decision on who get's a patch

I got my rear tire on the bike replaced with a nive one and rode it tonight. It is so nice.

KOi..sorry to throw a wrench here. I like #2 BUT I really think it needs to be in the actual B.A.R.F. font..and perhaps if possible in the same blue gradient..leaving the misfits in whatever font you have and in green. Liek Patty said..I don't think the added colors add cost..just needs to pop more as part of B.A.R.F.

So i didn't throw in a vote yet since it is not exactly what I would vote for...any chance to get that font from Budman??
