The Misfits Motorcycle Club is still active in the Bay Area, particularly in the North Bay and Central Valley. Almost 2 years ago some long-time members from Sonoma County shot multiple times, beat and hogtied a man in his Lakeport home and made off with his marijuana. Earlier this year one of the attackers was given a 100-years-to-life prison sentence. At least we know this man won't ever attack Koi and his Misfits.

Apropos to this thread topic -- as a 1% MC, the Misfits did not allow women as members. If women were given patches, the wording on them usually said "Property of."

what are the rules for that 1% patch? like I see how you are supposed to talk to existing clubs before you start yours, but can anyone just throw that 1% on?
 
Women cannot become full-patched members of outlaw motorcycle clubs (OMC). The one percent thing supposedly is the OMCs' way of further distancing themselves from the 99% of us who are law-abiding. So they wear a patch with a 1% on it.

No, it would not be a prudent thing to put a 1% patch on your jacket if you are not a member of a 1% MC.

Skipping to a related point. Where is the best place to get a jacket patch made? Talking about a patch that will be sewn onto a leather jacket.

I'd like to make one of the meet ups with you fine folks, hope to get to take a nice ride with y'alls soon. :) Been good, free time is at an uber premium these days. I still make time to ride, just usually go solo 'cuz that's how I like to roll. Gotta change that mindset and get more social.
 
Well come on down and I am sure someone will give you a spot, but it is getting filled up fast. You might have take a number and join the lottery.
