EDIT: the sad thing is most owners of the vehicles which were stolen will be on the hook with the predatory Tow yards for 1000's in tow and storage fee's and that is if the PD contacts them properly and quickly, otherwise the yard will just auction it off and send the bill to collections...

I noticed that you gave me what appears to me to be a frowny face. And I can only assume you approve of what those assholes did. (More problems with those god damn emojis.)
What those riders did was not just an act of inconvenience to others. It disrupted people’s lives. People missed meetings, They missed Dr appointments. Maybe someone was on their way to a hospital to see a loved one before they died. Maybe someone was in an ambulance and died for lack of medical care. Etc, etc.
Blocking highways and roads is very, very serious business. And hoping that they get their machines crushed, serve time, and get ass fucked by other prisoners is completely appropriate.

And returning stolen bikes and ATV’s is not a big deal. Anyone who had them stolen most likely has already been reimbursed by insurance. And who wants them back anyway? They have been abused and trashed and ridden hard.

Your attitude towards blocking roads shows you as a careless and inconsiderate person. I’ve been on group rides and never did we block any roads, much less a highway.
Perhaps your view will change if you are held up by a bunch of idiots while you are trying to get to a hospital to see your wife or son or daughter before they die.

If, for instance, you are on a group ride and you are going through a controlled intersection, rather than blocking that intersection you should have everyone go through while obeying all the laws, being considerate of other road users, and the people on the far side can pull to the side of the road without blocking the road and wait for the others.

I split lanes at a suicide delta on the Bay Bridge, just because I can--known to run red lights and go down one-way streets the wrong way, and treat double yellow lines and speed limits as mere suggestions ... afraid that's my idea of being an "ambassador" for our sport. sure my ultimate comeuppance is impending. we'll see ...
