Got my graduation papers today. Heading home on Friday after a month of full n times.
@m0t0_ryder was kind enough to drop this shirt on me yesterday and as noted above I wore it to PT.
The image of the faller is pretty accurate to how I went down actually. I think both legs being straight out and both arms being up is the only difference.
Focus will be stairs for the next couple days and walking with a cane which my first PT session focused on. That was the first long effort with a cane which was tiring. Did some balance work too. Sort of used the old martial arts brain there and was surprised it went so well.
Got weighed today and the scales tipped 227 lbs. happy that my 3 weeks of limited activity and three meals a day only added 2lbs. Probably lost some muscle but also still have some water weight from swelling. Dietician said I was spot on.
So pretty good (boring) day overall.
Of course I had to do a little barf salute photo in the shirt and that was not cool with the therapist so selfie time.
In a couple days I will need to figure out getting home from work (Mrs will take me), PT visits at home (3 weeks of that), food, how much office time I can take etc.
At least the money drain will stop soon as not only did I not earn much I paid one of my guys to basically not do a lot. He is a family man and I know he needed the $$ so I felt my mistake should not put him in a tough spot. The others have a better skill set and could work without me holding their hands.
Be nice to see my dogs and get a little more normal back in my life but still a long process ahead.
How do I get coffee in the AM??? When can I drive?? When can I ride?? Etc etc.
Thanks for the shirt John. The PT peeps thought it was fun.
