Never Underestimate How Gay The Surveillance State Is.

the founding fathers were, if nothing else, vehemently opposed to tyranny - in any form. IMO, if they could have possibly foreseen the future potential for government surveillance of citizens, they would have enshrined adequate protections against that in the constitution. more a function of ‘never in your wildest imagination’ than a function of ‘intent’.

If I can show that the way I'm being looked at is preventing me from attaining life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness, do I have standing? Do the amendments we already have extended far enough to cover being watched?
They generally don't extend to being watched when in public. We're almost at a counting cards argument, which isn't illegal because it's like trying to police someone's memory. Now the casinos ban it because of the way the hierarchy of rights works, but the govt can't ban it. We know its okay to be looked at in public, but we don't like the memory part. Maybe there's a compromise to be made somewhere in there.

In our daycare the kids behave themselves when they know we’re watching them.
When our backs are turned they start to act up.

Some adults are the same way.

I wish the world was full of fair-minded courteous trustworthy people with integrity who looked out for each other…

On an individual level, like Mom said: "Please and Thank You go a long way".
In general it is pretty easy to spot people with parents that taught them manners.
Some no doubt, learned them on their own but many don't give a shit.

I kind of like it when a young woman holds the door for this OG as I walk in the gym.
I am a door holding fool. :laughing

Casinos leaning on a guy on the street, videoing traffic as it passes by from a street corner.
Up pops a Los Vegas Metro cop on a corner in Laughlin Nv. telling the videographer to leave now.
"Illegal to vid from a corner". BS
Cop made it stick, told me to move along, vs jail.
Cops filling casinos under threat of arrest, clearing the streets during Laughlin Bike Week,
reload the gaming tables, more drinking, or jail !
