NFL 2018/2019 Thread

I'm having to watch the game on-line, it's totally pixelating on our cable. Not sure if it's a local issue. :dunno

Jones hauls it in while being shoved out of bounds. No more force out. Game over 18-12 Eagles.

Go shitbirds Go! I was at back to school night for both the kiddos and then we needed to go eat so I didn't watch a single snap of that game. I did see a score in the 3rd that was like 6 to 3 Falcons so I wrote that game off as an early season sloppy snoozefest. Surprised it came down to the wire like that.

Yeaaaaahhh Ya know, that's what CHAMPS do, find a way to win!!!

holy fuck balls I get to say shit like this all year!!!!

lol live it up dude!

meanwhile, my team is a shitshow on ice. Oakland now may be suing the Raiders for the rights to the team name and colors. There is precedent too, since Cleveland was able to do it to keep the Browns...ahem...history. When Modell moved them to Baltimore, they had to become a different team altogether.

I assume if Oakland won, they would just table the name Raiders and the silver and black colors, then never form the team again. In which case I don't know who the hell I would root for. Las Vegas Raiders is already stretching it for my fandom. The Las Vegas whoevers, not being silver and black, would turn me off completely.

Fucking Oakland. Fucking Davis family.

Don't forget, we are still paying for bond from building Mt. Davis as well. (by we I mean Alameda County taxpayers.)

What a horrific play call.

Yeah, I’ve often thought the “no force out” rule change is something I’d be looking long and hard at if I were a coach especially on the end zone jump-ball pass. I’d be lookin at ways to bait the throw with a defender coming in at a hard angle to catch the receiver and carry them out of bounds.

I am super interested to see the Real Giants against Jacksonville on Sunday. They are 100% counting on the Offense to carry then through a rebound this season and they get to start against what might be the best Defense in the league. Is the Barkley Hype real? Sunday tells the story.

Also super interested to see the Niners true colors. 5-0 at the tail end of a garbage season with a QB no one has tape for is cute. The Vikings are a real contender this year, if San Jose wins this game, the hype is real now. Also a, "Who are they really?" Game.

As a side note, the AFC is garbage of course, but I have been waiting for years for the Clowney/Watt Monster to arise. Injuries have kept that from happening. This might finally be the year as the Texans play the Pats, we get to see. Anybody else want to see Brady get stuffed 6+ times on Sunday? *Fingers crossed*

I will only be disappointed in my 9ers if they have a poor showing. Winning would be better icing on the cake for me.

You know, they might do it. I would worry about both sides of the ball, but Cousins is still new to the system too. If they can beat Minnesota, that is a serious shot across the bow to L.A..

Yeah. I mean I'll take my chances throwing to Julio Jones 1v1 at the goal line, I guess, but you have to give him some room to work. A fade from the 1 yard line has to be absolutely perfect, and Matt Ryan had just made 2 horrible throws before that last one that was also too far out of bounds.

wtf, i broke my ankle like after wentz tore his acl,

I saw him walking before I was in like Decemeber when I was still in a cast with skinnnny boney legs with no muscle.

I saw him prance around using 1 massssssssive crutch like in January when I barely was starting PT

How is he not fit to play yet? Im fit enough to drag knee already, i literally had to relearn how to walk

maybe but it was clear to me on TV that he was allot more mobile in Dec/Jan than I was (I was still in cast)

I cant feel 1/2 my foot still and probably never will due to 2 huge 4 inch gashes on my foot, also i have 1 horizontal screw and 2 vertical ones, the 1 horizontal is supporting the bone that lands all the weight from your leg.

Walking is still a thought process sometimes for me, him having the $$$ and not having to work and just rest up for spring training is surprising to see him still not on the field. I went back to work in Nov like 5 weeks after my accident in a cast and was on special work till like feb of this year.

Remember motogp guys race with broken legs/hips/fingers and collar bones week in and week out. :rolleyes for litearlly 45+ mins of hardcore railing on the edge.

What im trying to say is, if i had the $$$ to not have to to go back to work, and be able to rest for 3/4 of the year surely my recovery would be alot faster then others right?
