NFL 2018/2019 Thread

Niners: from "we'll never lose another game" to "we'll never win another game."

Frankly, I think Beatherd is going to do better and they may even win a few. Gawd, I was lovin Shanahan's play-calling yesterday. I can believe in this coach.It feels so different than all the bummer years.

In the meantime, I am conflicted about the Browns. On behalf of the players and fans, I would like them to really do well. But then it rewards Hue Jackson, who, after watching on Hard Knocks, just does not seem like he deserved a HC spot. The guy just seems ineffectual...not sure what he actually does. I do like the rest of his coaching crew including that one angry guy, is it Todd Haley or something?

Raiders will win some, I still believe in Chucky and his schemes. I think the planets are aligning and Beast Mode and others can really heat up.

I don't know. The Niners made a good rally in the second half, but that was flat embarrassing in the First half. I guess you can blame it on the Penalties (players) and the Refs (That PI call in the End Zone was BULLSHIT), which isn't the play calling, but I just don't know. I suspect if the Grapps of Wrath is dunzo for the year, they will probably struggle to match last years 6-10. I believe they were 1-10 last year without the Main Man. The only guys they beat were my guys, who were in the midst of a FULL REBUILD implosion. I kind of hope the kid can bounce back midseason, maybe it isn't a full MCL destruction. Foster just wasn't the monster player I enjoyed watching last year. Hopefully he gets his step back when he gets more time on the field, nothing better in football than a Linebacker with talent who is out for blood.

I suspect the Pats are finally falling over the edge of the cliff. The dynasty is old and tired. If they stink up the place this year, I wouldn't' be surprised if Brady called it a day. At this point, if it stops being fun, WTF does he have to prove?

For the Browns, that roster is brimming with talent, they have an acre of draft picks every year, I think a coaching change is all they need. Let them rumble up 5 wins this year, fire Jackson, then watch them blow up next year with whoever the new guy is.
 
Yeah, I kept thinkin Brady oughta quit yesterday! Or were we all being deceived and Gargamel was givin his old protege the game ball? He really didn't seem that concerned (Belichick).

It seems like the Patriots in the last few years have gone ahead and struggled a bit early then peaked when they needed it. They got guys coming back, but I do think at least America is tired of 'em....But I sure don't think Josh Gordon is their savior, fercrynoutloud. Don't know if you were watching, but they threw up a graphic of all of his suspensions. OMG, that dude has barely played in five years! Jaysus. Why is he even in the NFL? Don't they have an arena or Canuckian deal for guys like that?

They have to HOPE for 4-12 if Jimmy has a torn ACL and is out. Beathard is just OK at best -- he's a career backup.

Also Sherman is out 3 weeks with a calf strain, which fucks the secondary, and they have absolutely zero pass rush which fucks the secondary even more.

Don't forget the are running on backups too. McKinnon was supposed to start at RB and he is already dunzo for '18. I hate to see a team butchered by injuries like that.
 
Yep, Brieda/Morris is a solid combo but when Brieda went out for a few they had to rely on a special teams guy. It's ugly right now.

Possible silver lining, getting higher draft picks to draft better O line and pass rush. Assuming their gonna be like 3-13 now or something close.

Sherman out a few week so secondary will be getting torched ever more.

Yup pretty much hoping that Nick Bosa lands in their lap now. They HAVE to fix the edge rushing issue. Armstead will be gone so Thomas can move back to the interior where he belongs next to Buckner.
 
Nick Bosa’s having major surgery (groin per some sites, knee per others) and out til late November.
