NFL 2018/2019 Thread

Bryant did very well for his career after all. good for him. hopefully he'll learn that now that he is playing with a HOF QB, he should keep his trap shut and his hissy fits to a minimum. we'll see if he can do it.

I know what you mean, but sometimes it seems pretty understandable. If you are on a team where everyone is trying hard and failing together sincerely, it's one thing.

But if you have pockets of dysfunction that prevent otherwise talented people from at least playing up to potential, I would "get" the hissy fits. But I'm sure many hold it against him. It is a very emotional game. I watch that Inside the NFL show and they show all these pep talks given before games. I keep thinking, "these are grown men, making millions? Do they really need a pep talk?" BUt evidently, they do and that's how they roll...

I remember playing. It's not natural to hurl your body at other people at speeds as fast as you can move. It was one of the toughest things to teach to kids new to the game. And sometimes it's painful. Not injuring painful but nonetheless. It must be magnitudes worse at the pro level given the speed of the game.

if he thinks everyone is an asshole around him...maybe it's him??

to be fair, he was a rookie when I think TO and Keyshawn Johnson were there, so not learning from the best team players.

It's emotional for everyone, the WR position being one of many. He thought he was important enough to disparage other people's emotions in public.

It sounds like you no more about him, so just consider mine a drive-by opinion from watching various Cowboy games over the years, not as a big fan of that team to the extent of following all the exchanges.

I couldn't agree more with your point that emotions are high out there.

Keyshawn & TO were long gone by the the time Dez got there in 2010-11.... Keyshawn retired a Panther in ‘07 and TO was off the ‘boys by2008, bouncing around to the Bengals and the Bills after.

Gosh, now I don't feel so bad for failing to understand the homage re: the flip-phone-under-the-goal-post-padding.

:laughing

thanks...close but I was wrong. sorry, I now have no excuse for Dez's diva-tittude

edit: It was Roy Williams who Dez refused to carry his pads. I thought it was Keyshawn. my bad

The reffing tightens up during the playoffs. I don’t see home field saving the Saints in the playoffs. If anything Goff could be the next choke king, but I don’t see that happening.

saints win @ home, you forget the katrina bowl? the entire nation wanted them to win, dont even remember who they were facing :teeth

aaaand Dez down with an Achilles injury. Tough break.

Saints reportedly interested in Brandon Marshall now.
