surprised that the offense went completely dry like that. one score out of the last 3 drives probably would have done it.

Even after all the infuriating shit talking that came my way all year, and all the shit talking I would receive had the 9er's won, I still feel bad for my friends. Fucking stockholm syndrome shit right there.

I think Shanahan got away from the run. Jimmy should have called a timeout on that last play before play clock hit 1.

Mahomes and jimmy both near 70 qb rating. I think defense did enough. Offense didn’t pull through.
 
9ers were outscored 21-0 in the final 6 minutes... plenty of blame to go around for not stopping or countering that surge.

defense couldnt get a holding call to save their lives...when your defensive linemans backs are to where the qb is running im pretty sure thats a hold. the call on kittle was straight bs. it was the kansas city show before the game started. they let shit play out when the niners bobbled the ball but not when kc did. just wasnt right. not just being salty there were some clear blown calls that impacted the game.

I found the SB woefully underwhelming. The game, commercials and halftime show. Only real good out of it all was about the last 7 minutes of the game!

Happy for the Chiefs coming back and snatching a victory from the jaws of defeat!

Sweetheart, I always say guys like Steve Young who had wheels but stay in the pocket are fine.

It is the the RB's who lie about their identity like Kaep and Michal Vick that I say are Garbage. The QB's who put up more rushing yards than their RB. I think Lamar Jackson is probably for real too and he has wheels for sure.


Nice game by the CHiefs, I wonder how long they can keep that offense together.

As much as people like to make noise about Mahomes, Having Hill, Watkins, and Kelce on the same offense is just fucking impossible to defend against.

The Niners did a great job doing it, Mahones was running for his life and making terrible throws for almost the entire game. KC just has this crazy ability to stay remotely in the game, then in the last 5 minutes when the Defense is totally gassed, they turn it on and blow up for multiple scores in no time flat.

Mahomes ability to run that no huddle is pretty fucking impressive. I think he will be dangerous for a long time to come.

Kansas City is in Kansas, Bro. It is a border City in both KS and MO. Arrowhead is on the MO side, about 3 miles from the State Line, but they certainly do represent Kansas. They are a multi-state team, kind of like the Pats.

7 was garbage time.
The other 14 were the stake thru the heart.

Shanahan lost his cool over the reffing and lost his nerve along with it. The D faded in the last 9 min. Need more conditioning or better subs. Uncle Sherm got burnt. Young team. Some things to fix. Overall very happy with the season and the future looks bright. :cool

I think Shanny did revert back to his 28-3 Falcons loss a little.

Getting around 5+ yards per rush and stopped running AGAIN. What happened to the 12 straight run plays like against the vikings?

Defense was ok, special teams sucked, offense bad in 2nd half.

Niners were built to beat the Chiefs being up 10 with the ball and 5 min to go. Shanny got tight, stopped running, and Jimmy G needed to call a timeout instead of rush that 4th down play.

I didn't see any roll out QB plays either.

KC might be back next year while Mahomes is cheap for one more year. If he's smart he'd do what Brady does and not take a massive deal BUT like he'll take the $35-$40mil per for 4-5 years and hamstring the team just like the Rams.
 
I think KS had a plan and executed it perfectly.

They probably substituted a lot and ran the 9ers secondary ragged for 3 quarters, then took advantage of their tired legs in the 4th quarter.

The dot on the right is Kansas City, MO. It's also Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs play. Pretty much no informed person in the world would refer to Kansas City as being in Kansas for this context.

Feel a bit bad for Joe Staley not getting a trophy but he has plenty of company in the league.

Special teams did nothing for Niner field position. If a head rolls, it will be in that dept.

Shanahan needs some monkey repellent, because he sure now has a spectacularly unique one, of blowing leads at Superbowls. I had "worried" about this earlier in thread (wondering what his role versus head coach for Atlanta was in that loss) but was complacent after playoff wins. "It" came back like a phantom and we wuz doomed with seven minutes left.

Otherwise, I celebrate a year of some of the most exciting games I can ever remember thanks to Niners. And that one drive resulting in last td of Niners was three first downs in a row followed by a TD. Bravo to Juscheyk (sp?). How do ya like an old-fashioned fullback catching TD passes? And think about it, Seattle sat home. New England sat home, Saints sat home. I didn't have to see gum chewer, Gargamel or Puckerface McHeadhunter. C-minus for officiating to detriment of Niners but not gonna go all NOLA about it....

And, well, I'm embarassed to admit it, but I'm glad Mahomes took a few licks so it was not an easy triumph and at least those players aren't laughing too hard because it probably makes their ribs hurt..

But it's Monday, they are all still millionaires and most of us are not, nobody died and it wasn't a blowout. Didn't see any broken necks and stretchers. 4-12 last year then to a Superbowl this year. Two of best players are rookies (Deebo and Bosa), fercrynoutloud, and hopefully going nowhere else.

The surrounding ceremonies got pretty sappy and annoying and I'm too square to think that JLo waving her butt crack at America was okay. Commercials pretty funny. I think NFL tried too hard to prove their patriotism and deliver us a sort of celebration of America like a megadose. Enough already with the Kaepernick-cleansing.

Would a person be wrong to think the 49ers are in San Francisco? I say I grew up in Kansas City but in actuality I grew up in Prairie Village Kansas. Hopefully the google knows where that is.
Still going with a good game and I’m interested in both teams future.
