I've seen 5 Bowl appearances/ 3 wins in 60 years of the club's existence so I got that, bro... and hey, I really don't think the Giants are any closer than my guys. I find comfort in that.
The Raiders? I mean, they had one good run. It was an Epic Run, one of the best ever, but if you take the '68-'83 15 year stretch out of their history (The Madden Years and a couple years after as his culture carried on) they are seriously the worst team in NFL History. Like worse than Tampa Bay and the Chargers, who are the all time worst right now.
I reckon that is why so many people around here like them, I figure a lot of serious Raider fans around here were kids in the 70's, so they grew up when the Raiders were unstoppable, so they idea that they are actually a terrible team with a cancer culture that only ever just loses and makes every effort to self destruct with a wild false bravado is strange to them, because they socialized to the Raiders in an ancient time when they were a rising star.
I hated Al Davis, everything about him was awful, and I hate the East Bay, but now that the Raiders have left all that terrible shit behind, I need to get past disliking them.
I like to root for perennial losers like the Lions or the Bucs, so maybe I can warm up to the Raiders now too, but it is hard to respect an AFC Team of any flavor.
I reckon I could go for Tennessee right now because I REALLY like to watch Derrick Henry play. That guy is the best Running Back since Brandon Jacobs, I hope the Titans can do something.
