NFL 2020

Mayock isn't calling the final shots. He's more of a consultant for Gruden. I wish Mayock had 100% control. His draft mocks/scouting were the best before he became gm. Gruden is possessed by the ghost of Al. Too bad.

Or Mayock is in charge. It would be just like Mayock to have Ruggs at the top of his WR board while the beehive haired knucklehead at ESPN and his media cronies swoon over Lamb.

Yeah, embrace the suckage, Giants fan. :teeth

I ain't worried, Hoss. We'll be back. 95 years and we always are. We have the worst Championship record of any team that has Won one except for the Seachickens and the Rams, but that is probably because we have been one of the top 2 teams for 22 of them (Most in NFL History).

I'm grateful that I have been alive to see 5 (OK, maybe not that disaster against Baltimore. :laughing). My team is bad right now, but you can't fade me on that, because I know that sometime in the next 5-6 years we will win another one, right on schedule.

I'm kind of hoping for our 100 year anniversary in 2025, that would be nice and Championship win #10 for our 100th season is a nice round number that would make me happy.

I've seen 5 Bowl appearances/ 3 wins in 60 years of the club's existence so I got that, bro... and hey, I really don't think the Giants are any closer than my guys. I find comfort in that. :laughing

The Raiders? I mean, they had one good run. It was an Epic Run, one of the best ever, but if you take the '68-'83 15 year stretch out of their history (The Madden Years and a couple years after as his culture carried on) they are seriously the worst team in NFL History. Like worse than Tampa Bay and the Chargers, who are the all time worst right now.

I reckon that is why so many people around here like them, I figure a lot of serious Raider fans around here were kids in the 70's, so they grew up when the Raiders were unstoppable, so they idea that they are actually a terrible team with a cancer culture that only ever just loses and makes every effort to self destruct with a wild false bravado is strange to them, because they socialized to the Raiders in an ancient time when they were a rising star.

I hated Al Davis, everything about him was awful, and I hate the East Bay, but now that the Raiders have left all that terrible shit behind, I need to get past disliking them.

I like to root for perennial losers like the Lions or the Bucs, so maybe I can warm up to the Raiders now too, but it is hard to respect an AFC Team of any flavor.

I reckon I could go for Tennessee right now because I REALLY like to watch Derrick Henry play. That guy is the best Running Back since Brandon Jacobs, I hope the Titans can do something.

Not sure how old you are, but I remember the shitty 9ers of the 60's and 70's... They were bad, like we had to watch LA Rams games because they weren't good enough for TV bad.... Every franchise goes thru it, hopefully it's now the Pats time.

The Raiders got pretty high marks from multiple sites for their draft, so yeah, preseason optomism.

I think the Raiders fans may lead the league in optimism every year haha

I'm starting to really love Beth Mowins...as a mom-figure. I want her to tuck me in and tell me everything is going to be alright and go raiders every night...I'd sleep like a muffukin baby.

Lynn Bowden. This guy is our sneaky-awesome pick of the draft. Like Hunter Renfrow last year fo the team.
edit: Paul Hornung award winner. previous winners: ODB. Saquon. McCaffrey.

who is your team's sneaky awesome pick of the draft?

Saftey Jared Mayden from Alabama.

UDFA for Niners. Daniel Jeremiah had him ranked #114. That's like early 4th round.

None, LOL, all of my teams picks are mediocre and reasonably safe bets, just like almost always.

Is he a personality problem? How did he fall so hard?

no combine and no pro day. seems like a "fell through the cracks" guy though 4-5 teams wanted him.

I think there will be a LOT of guys like that from this season though. limited amounts of tape and very limited in person visits and interviews etc. I'm thinking a lot of teams lists of players to draft were way smaller than previous seasons

Well, hopefully it works out. I think my guys signed like 700 UDFA Wide receivers for kick returns and depth.
