NFL 2021

TBH, Peterson is a decent hire and he'll probably good for Sunshine, he got some pretty good QB play out of guys in Philly.

Just a dumb move by the Jags though. Leftwich was drafted by them, played there, and wanted the job. Just wanted Baalke fired.

agreed, the loyalty to baalke is strange. IMO the 9ers drafted just as good if not (way) better bringing in a guy with no experience except excelling at hitting people really hard with his body. They actually have a legit star WR again, if you don't count Kittlecorn...he was drafted by baalke, no?

Lance will probably be the deciding factor though. That was a big, big move. With all his flaws, Kaep had some stuff. Can Lance be at least Kaep in his good few years? That will write the story of Lynch as a GM

I think it may be a while before Flores gets a HC job....

He's worked with the new Vegas Patriots, so there's that.

To be fair to Baalke he put together the team Harbaugh won with. He was given NFL Exec of the Year. He actually has a decent list of players he's drafted that were VERY good, and also some serious misses.

That being said, he's worn out his welcome more than once. I guess so have a bunch of coaches though and they keep getting re-hired. :dunno

Flores said the quiet part out loud by exposing that teams would actually tank...if we were to believe him. and a part of me does.

I believe the raiders as a whole never have had a mandate to tank, because I believe their complete ineptitude for 20+ years could be completely organic, lol

I don't see how they win by making him a coordinator. It's Head coach or nothing.....(based on reading link)

I'm in the "He May Never Coach in the NFL Again" camp. (Hope I'm wrong.)

The Raiders hiring him would be a massive both handed middle finger for the NFL leaking only the Gruden e-mails regarding the WFT situation while seemingly protecting an owner AND keep Flores front and center in NFL circles as a good coach. If he's away from the NFL the first knock will be "well, he hasn't been in the game for a while..."

I know they won't do it, but I kinda hope they will to get some "rebel" cred. :laughing

I think Rogan just called Aaron Rodgers a dumbass, lol:

Quoted from teh LATimes:

As for his apparent anti-vaccine stance and perpetuation of COVID-19 misinformation, which led to Spotify adding warnings to his show, Rogan insisted that he’s unqualified to give medical advice.

“I talk s— for a living. That’s why this is so baffling to me. If you’re taking vaccine advice from me, is that really my fault? What dumb s— were you about to do when my stupid idea sounded better?” the former “Fear Factor” host said. “You know that dude who made people eat animal d— on TV? How does he feel about medicine?’ If you want my advice, don’t take my advice.”

Kind of funny. I reserve the right to say whatever the hell I want to, but if you believe what I said and take it to heart, you're a dumbass. :rofl

Kind of the 'I'm an entertainer, so you can't hold me accountable, even though I know that all of my listeners believe what I'm saying as the truth' defense.

My daughter is going to the game.

Rams fan based on her GPa being a big Rams fan :rose

I called her “money bags”. :laughing

Actually I told her before that these kind of life moments are worth $$ because the memory last forever.

Kind of proud of her for taking the step and feeling that passion.

No talk of WTF are you thinking. Rather. Good for you I hope you enjoy it. Did not mention I hope the Bengals win. That would have been a bad dad moment. :laughing

Now I kind of don’t care who wins because I know my kid will be happy if the Rams do and I will be glad if the Bengals do.

Fuck Dallas?

I think they are already fucked. Kinda like the 9ers.

Ah budman I think you are being too pessimistic. We have the D mostly and we could be one Trey from a good QB. If we can get the QB sorted then I think we are going all the way. The only reason the Rams won is that Jimmy couldn't move the ball and missed wide open guys.

And go Bengals I want Chunky Soup McVay to have mortgaged his teams future for Stafford and still only get a second place finish this year.

Also Burrow and Chase played for LSU so hoping they can win the Super Bowl together also.

I'm betting that this superbowl gets the lowest interest in years. :laughing

I don't know, dude. It is definitely a hit not having an East Coast Team in there, but L.A. is still the 2nd largest market in the country and for a 2nd tier State, Ohio is a pretty big market. While East Coast fans are not in it, I reckon the West Coast vs. Midwest narrative will create a decent draw.

East Coast vs. West Coast is the biggest and bestest of the ratings grabbers, but I reckon these guys will probably do better than like, Florida vs Kansas or some shit.

+1

Nobody wants to be Jim Kelly, but nevertheless, that team has been to 2 NFC Championship games in 3 years. That really doesn't sound fucked to me. :laughing

How is it that 49er fans were able to flood their stadium, even towards the end of the season?

Yeah, there will be a bunch of people hopping on the bandwagon now that they're in the superbowl, but they've never really gotten respect from their own market.

Then there's Cincinnati, it's hard to find many people who have ever cheered for them, certainly most of the East Coast won't have much if any interest.

I guess time will tell, but you are talking like the only people who watch are the fans of the teams playing. That is just silly. Combined, the HurtyNiners and Seachickers have a HUGE fanbase that will more than likely mostly tune in to see the Bengals, "BEAT L.A.!"

Similarly Ohio has a following where football is essentially religion, much like so many other parts of the midwest. I guess they will either want to root for a localish team, or in the case of AFC North fans, root against them.

The Steelers fans in particular, have a HUGE fanbase (one of the biggest that is not the Pats or the NFC East) that I assume will be tuning in to root against the Bungles.

So, like I said, it seems to me to be not a risk for highest ratings, but should be able to make a fair middle ground showing.
