NFL 2023

Raiders got lucky the D bailed out the O in this game. And Love is trash.

That game was so familiar to 49er fans. The defense would secure a turnover only to have the offense squander it. Jimmy G was his usual: fairly confident, standing up rushes, getting sacked and making a few oh-nos. He doesn’t have quite as much talent around him but they are pretty good.”

If I was a Raider fan, I would feel like my team was progressing as the season moves on. Maybe not fast enough but there is a decent squad slowly putting it together. They hung in for the win and sometimes, that’s all you can get.

And yeah, Jordan Love…..I dunno if he is a true starter at QB.

Oh, and he’s become over-hyped but I have to say it: Maxx Crosby is as good a throwback prototypical Raider as they come. He would have fit in so well with the old Autumn guys. I have to see more Spillane but he was rearing his head, too.

Crosby isn't over hyped though. A quick search came up with him being fifth best in the league for D Ends (Fox sports). He's a legitimate star.

Yeah, I just mean that the announcers get kind of fixated on him but he certainly is deserving.

Ah, ok. He is quite the character... Eyeblack under one eye, Raiders (and many other) tattoos, yelling and screaming and throwing running backs to the ground. I'm glad he's on the team.

Can't believe the Raiders didn't "Raider" that game. The stupid coach really tried there at the end. I watched it on the Manning-cast, as I always do when they're on, and Payton kept making fun of them for trying the same stupid reverse play over and over...

Still hoping for a Niner/Raider superbowl (LOLOLOLOLOL!)

Maxx is the saving grace of this defense and this team... too bad Chandler isn't there to help....

That dude is rad. Hard not to love defensive players that are just running around at full throttle all the time. Unfortunately I can't help but think of a family guy bit every time I see him.. :laughing

the jawing vs deebo and micah is fun. I suspect micah's 'getting personal' more referring to getting revenge in an injury sort of way, because his team has no shot to actually beat the 9ers at this time. A lot of shit gotta go right for them and wrong for the 9ers for that to be in question.

yeah...really hard to tell what's going on there. but chandler won't ever be playing for them again

too bad their 1st round pick hasn't shown up yet despite opportunity to do so...

I will be surprised if he plays for anyone ever again. AT his age, if you go full meltdown, your career is over by the time you get your shit together enough for a team to take a risk.

There are only a few teams that make a habit out of garbage reclamation projects like that and he is currently burning his bridges on one of them.

Maybe he has a last sad season for Dallas at 35?

anyone see that GB lineman take the most hilarious dive to draw a penalty? It was so beautifully performed that I wasn't even mad. Of course the refs would call it.

That's ok....

The Chiefs defense, on one Vikings 4th down play, in a single score game, got away with roughing the passer, offensive pass interference, and the offending player removing his helmet on the field to argue the call. No fear for the Mohomie Swifts, the League had their backs.

Yeah, the refs missed the helmet crown hit on Cousins completely, picked up the flag for the PI, and politely suggested to the offending play he wear his helmet.

No agenda there.... :laughing

The league conspiracy shit is just silly. If the League really gave a shit about writing such tickets, the below is a list of who would always get the best calls.

1. Dallas Cowboys - $9.2 billion

2. New York Giants - $7.04 billion

3. Los Angeles Rams - $6.94 billion

4. New England Patriots - $6.7 billion

5. San Francisco 49ers - $6.15 billion

6. New York Jets - $6.11 billion

I gotta tell ya, it just isn't true. Some Refs might have some bias here and there, it certainly seems like it, but the idea of a greater, "League Conspiracy," is just absurd.

It keeps viewers/ fans involved at an emotional level. It's human nature as a viewer to think you could do a better job, having never done the actual job and adding in the conspiracy calls levels up the emotion. It's easy to see fouls from the overhead. Down on the game surface, it's a much different view point. I think some of the refs just aren't that good or having bad day. Even when the rule against the worlds best; Eagles.

Hey, I will even accept that some individual Refs may have a bias, pick on certain teams because of it, be on the take for a cash bet, etc.

Where I draw the line and have to start throwing my Go Stand With the "9/11 Truthers" and "Government Is Working With UFOs" Idiots Flag is when talk of league wide conspiracies against certain teams or WWF style scripted Seasons start getting discussed.

The only example that conspiracy bit that I think has possible validity was against Al Davis. And I’m not a Raiders fan. Too much shit happened over the years.

I wpoudl again deny a conspiracy, but when you buold most of your career around the idea of, "haha, Fuck You, I do what I want!"

Of course everyone else you are involved with is going to hate you and not be interested in doing a damn thing to make shit easy for you.

Like, that isn't a conspiracy, that is just the natural result of acting like a shit and not concealing it.

Niners after beating cowboys: WE"RE UNSTOPPABLE!
