Did not make it but had to share anyway. Took a trip to Monterey and stopped at Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing and got the Cioppino for two. Its like $55. and comes with salads and a loaf of garlic bread. It's enough for 4 people. Highly recommended.

Successfully cooked, but I made the mistake of freezing lemon slices with the chicken, could definitely detect the bitterness from the rind.

Welp I officially hate you (from envy).

So does the hood really work well? I've never managed to find a good air vent that sucks hard enough to stop smoke detector from going off.

42" Hood works great, 715 CFM max. Needed 8" vent pipe, also very quiet. Just $$$$ guess you get what you pay for.

Friend is affiliated with airport home appliance, said the vent-a- hood is where it's at. Managed to find a lightly used hood and thermador stove on craigslist from a Los Gatos remodel around Christmas. The hood definitely does the job, and reasonably quietly.

Currently, I have an above-range microwave with integrated fan and it sucks. I'd love to replace it with a proper vent and lose the microwave. It's along the wall, not a ceiling mounted.
