Hitting paint does matter .. if your in full lean your contact patch is pretty small .. lst time I checked paint was pretty slick .. but that's not really the problem here.. none of us were born with a buttn that programs our riding skills .... Learn by doing man .. some do hardrr than others .. I've been down about twenty times in the 19 years I have been riding and every one of them was my fault .. me riding outside my ability and you know what after ever crash my line moved .. a little further out .. in the beginning is when your trying to learn what that even means .. so. Calling a guy a squid cause he lost it .. that's a little prejudice .. if you gave been riding for years and years and have not crashed I would either clean your chicken strips off or your just lucky . Natural mYbe . U don't know but imo if you have not been down its probablycause your not really pushing outside your comfort zone .. its cool . But you don't sniff as much exhaust from the front of the pack on twisty rides ...

And now that im hooked on the track i smell alot more crashes in the near future ... And if your ride is so pretry ya don't wanna hurt if so you baby it .. just kick it over .. pick it up and ride it like you stole it

Merge it if you want. I wanted to highlight the attitudes of some riders in regards to learning and crashing.

hmm, I guess I really don't want it enough! I'm too lazy to learn by crashing. :D

That video is a good example of my more nervous nature when riding the hills. For a very long time, I never worried about bikers in the twisties. Now, I do worry.

And here is another worry for me. Track days attract ass-hats, too. Boy, do I know. It's definitely not immune from stupid.

Right there with you bro. Up until a couple years ago I used to ride all the time and everywhere possible. Weekday riding, weekend riding, spirited hill runs, cruising around town, and hot summer night tours.

Now, not so much. To me it seems as though riders are getting less experienced and drivers are getting more distracted. It's unfortunate really, I miss riding without concern for what's around the next corner.

Both riders seem incredibly lucky... The at-fault rider didn't get run over... The camera bike didn't go off a hill, and wasn't thrown 50 feet into the air and blown to pieces (like GoGo's bike...)

The guy who lost it and hit the other rider is 100% at fault....

Either: 21655 VC or 22107 VC or 22350 VC or 21703 VC for starters.

Thanks for the info, i had been told at some point that if your speeding and get in an accident, even if it was the other persons fault you can be held partially liable because you were breaking the law as well.

If it were me, investigating the crash, I'd have to prove that speeding was part of the reason for the collision.

This is a no brainer. The guy who slid out of his lane was going to fast for conditions and caused this collision.

End of story.

Only on BARF can you still be an asshole rider somehow for minding their own business and being hit by another rider. :rolleyes

:laughing - Well, traditionally, Sport Bike riders are of the 'fair weather' sort so I'm not surprised in the least; It's the same attitude as non riders..

:laughing

:later

His speedo read 45, from what i could tell of the turn 45 looked to be a reasonable speed. Am i missing something?

Yeah, the other dozen videos Ricky Racer victim has posted on YouTube showing off his mad street skillz. Not saying this accident wasn't lowsiding squids fault. I'm just saying one Ricky Racer took out another Ricky Racer. Could probably just as easily been the other way around. I have about as much sympathy as when I read about a gang banger shooting another gang banger.

The force is weak with you, my son.

My worst nightmare right there, wish folks could learn to keep it in their pants and not risk other people lives.

Triple

what happened to the rider?

what happened to the rider?

He said he was ok for now in the comments on youtube:

Camera is mounted on my bike when coming downhill. Rider almost took out the bike in front of me but he was able to avoid him and came directly into my path. I am ok for now...
