I'd like to hear what you guys would do in this situation

Ok so heres the deal.
I called this site. I don't want to mention their name yet. But I called to see if they had the Apex 3" riser clip-ons for my Aprilia RSVR in stock. They said yes they have it in stock. Ok so I ask them if they can get me custom length brake-lines because stock is to short for those clip-ons. They said yes no problem it only takes a day to make them. Ok so when should I receive my order I ask cause I need these before my 400 mile bike trip in two weeks. He said you should receive these this same day next week which is next Tuesday. Well friday came and I still haven't receive an email confermation of my order so I tried calling them to ask them about it but all operator busy. They have an automated voice option that can leave my number and they'll get back to me. That never happen so I had to wait till Monday when they open to call them again. I finally get ahold of them and ask about my order. They said they have my brake lines in but they are out of stock on the Apex clip-ons and would need to order them. I'm like wait a minute I called to make sure you guys had them in stock. So how long will it take to get them in I ask. He said Oh I dont know it can take up to a week or more. I'll just cancel my order I said. They said I needed to email this person on their site to cancel my order.
So I email that person and he responded that he can not cancel my order because the brake lines are custom made.
I understand what he's saying but I would have never order the lines if they told me they dont have them in stock.
Anyways I tried calling Apex MFG but their phone is not working.

So what would you guys do?

Also, never mod your bike right before a long distance ride, even a half day 400 miler.

I'm assuming you already paid for them? Try disputing the charge with your credit card company... :dunno

Here's a hint: You learned a lesson. Two weeks is not nearly enough time to make this kind of major change. Plan on further problems when you install them. (Like brake reservoir hitting fairing.)

seems pretty standard for custom parts. pay for the brake line and cancel the order for the out-of-stock clip-ons. then order them from somewhere else. if they wont cancel the order for the clip-ons, then mail the poo.

Would you? I'd go to grammar class instead, but that's just me.

:laughing

I hear what you are saying thats why I went with these clip-ons cause they have so much adjustability options. If I cant get these to work for me I don't know what will.
