Patching a sheet rock hole

Sand down the surrounding edge texture so you can blend in fresh texture, otherwise the patch will be raised up and that may be visible…

Can will work fine, practice on cardboard outside.
 
after you knock down the texture, and it's dried a little bit, a little bit of damp sponge work can be used to blend further.

That shit is wonderful. My advice is cut stud to stud. Screw it in securely. Smear, sand, spray texture, paint, spray texture, and paint.
 
I am concerned that as this autistic kid gets older, bigger and stronger, he will seriously hurt somoene, or himself. The hole he busted in the wall was done by repeatedly slamming the closet doors, which he repeatedly pushes off the rails (I have remounted these doors three times now) against the sheetrock. The IDIOT therapists didn't think to stop him; they were in the bedroom with him. He is a danger to himself and to others. Yesterday I was able to see him sleeping, taking a nap. He is so damned cute, watching him sleep. When he isn't being destructive, (when asleep, in other words), paints a very different picture. Yesterday's repairs were patching the hole again, re-hanging the closet doors, scrubbing shit off the carpeting in his room (fecal play is apparently a common sensory thing with some autistic kids), re-screening a window screen and hanging two sets of blinds in his room. Oh, and we had a damned good taco lunch. :) El Canaston makes some damned good tacos. If anyone is in the area, give them a try. They make home-made tacos and charge $1.00 extra each.
 
You might consider removing the closet doors and storing them until he passes this phase.
 
Ewww, mebbe see about replacing his carpet with vinyl when removing the doors. Carpeting and feces is just not a sustainable battle. She is lucky to have your help as they need all the help they can get.

Man I was excited to have found my woman beating group on barf, but now I'm super pumped to find my autistic child beating group on barf. Always thought it was as a bit too edgy to talk a out how much I like beating up autistic kids, but yeah, I'm super down with out alpha'ing autistic kids through my vastly superior physical strength. The problem in this situation is a weak woman, if you really think about it. Can't even raise a hand to an autistic kid. America has no spine anymore.
 
I don’t think anyone here is advocating that the kid be beaten. However, a slap to his face might wake him up to the fact that you don’t beat on people. Sort of like if you grab something hot from the oven with your bare hands, you’re going to get burned.
