I wish I knew how to get rid of a quote. This has been sitting like this for like two days. I have no idea how to undo it.

Good luck Melissa, and Tux I hope your kitty is good.
Or just hit delete until the thing disappears. That's the luddite way.

Good meowning everyone. COFFEE. TGIF. This week has been intense at work but good. I am ready for the relaxation of the weekend. Tomorrow the housemate and I will ride. :)

Yes I do! Begins with the interview suit and good shoes.
Anyway, enjoy the chill on the day everyone.
Good luck.

My daughter is going through the same thing as the County Sup she was working for decided to retire and she no longer wants to be involved in the mind numbing County Sup meetings etc.

She will be fine I suspect as will you.

My wife got a call from a friend of her estranged sister that she was at a post acute care center nearby.

Last time my wife and her other sister talked to the estranged one, (who weights more than both of them combined), she told them to get lost which was odd as they were only responding to an emergency call about her welfare from the place she lived. That was three years ago.

I suspect they won't be visiting the estranged one, who apparently fell in her home alone and couldn't get up for two days until the Fire Dept was called and found her.

Doctors evidently gave her a bad prognosis which is too bad but, sadly, not a surprise whatsoever.

Since they were kids the estranged one lied, manipulated, physically abused siblings, stole from parents and on and on and on.

So much so that my daughter, her only niece, did not invite her to her wedding in 2019.

I'm sure this is hardly an unusual story for many families but she "made her bed."

I was at the beach the other day with some friends of mine.

One friend, I taught to drive stick in my car in a parking lot. She bought a car with manual transmission.

She was the designated driver and parallel parked backwards uphill on a really steep incline. Yeah, you could smell the clutch burning but it was a difficult task most people wouldn't be able to do.

I smiled and could not be more proud. :teeth

Damn.

Anyway ,"weigh"

Anyway, I'm not going to ride a bicycle today because I'm thinking it will not be good for my throat and cough. Someone tell me I am right...

And I just inadvertently put out an example of how “The editor autosaves replies.“ !

Btw, my friend called, and says that story you guys post of how “waiting for the coffee ☕️ to do its jobis not true! (My friend may or may not be a doctor)

I have absolutely zero interest in the Paul/Tyson boxing fight tonight.

What I do know is that I did not need to see a post on social media of 60 year old Mike Tyson weighing in wearing underwear smaller than some of my ex girlfriends...

I saw that too and was like, why isn't he wearing regular old trunks or something?

OMG so I realized this could be about this person from that place we briefly chatted about.
Dang, sorry!

PT: costco has a 14 year old Glenfiddich for $32 . In a pretty box. ask me how I know. :dunno
Thanks, it was sad of course, but the turn but was massive so it was good to see and hear about the life he lived and the people the people he touched out of the small slice of life I knew him from. Would have preferred to show up on a bike since he was a rider, but Jules outfit wouldn't allow for such things.

No idea about Glenfiddich as I've never bought scotch, but that is probably a good price, Costco booze is usually a decent deal.

On a whim I applied for a role at Cummins where they'll train you to be a diesel mechanic for their big generators. They got back to me asking for high school and college transcripts which I find amusing considering that was a LONG time ago and I'd have thought GPA requirements would go out the window once you have a 16+ year long employment record...

Also heard back from UPS for a season coordinator job, but I may have made a mistake in asking about the negotiable potential of the salary range as posted on their site since they offered me the role at $25 an hour with the range on the site being 25-40. If I'm getting up before 6am to be at work by 7 I'd like to earn a smidge more if I can.

Never would've guessed you'd want to be a gen tech. I used to run a service department in that industry. It's tough on the body.

I'm happy not having opened Instagram today... take that , Myke Tison media-consumers. :wink:twofinger

that particular Glenfiddlich 14 in bourbon barrels, has a sign "$32, discount from $49"... so... yeah. (y)

I'm feeling you may have misjudged who applies to the Cummins job, or they have misjudged what they'd be asking?

Assuming Cummins hasn't changed much (I doubt they have), the recruiters are simply following the script for any candidates that have applied. It doesn't matter if it makes sense, they just have to follow the specifics of the job posting to the letter.

I'm not really, but it seemed interesting, I am probably not at all what they are looking for. Sitting in a desk all day hasn't been great on my body either but yet, maybe worth a bit of a reconsider.

Yeah, I'm probably not at all what they are looking for, I'd guess they want a bunch of young hardy kids to train up for a full career.

UPS already called me about the job, so it looks like I may be working for them part time through the end of the year, it'll be about enough money to pay for groceries, my bar tab or a tattoo, but it ought to keep things interesting, if I get it. Interview is this afternoon most likely.

This thing I've got has evolved from a sore throat to sinus congestion to a cough and sinus congestion. Avoiding the outdoors seems like a good idea to me :cry

I think I'm going to door dash some pho
