Quick question how dicey is Oakland

I'm curious what kind of response they're looking for.

Read the responses he got.
I'm pretty sure that's what he was looking for.
This is not Yelp.....most people here understand that. (perhaps you're now one of them too)

Well it’s better to ask people that are in the know and you can get the answers to your questions on the barf..
And it does have a yelp review someone was shot dead outside of the store couple of years ago:laughing I’m not as young as I used to be and I don’t want to be taking my life in my hands over a job..that pays $17 hr pretty simple
And thanks to the good people of barf who said something

If we say it's not safe, would you not take the job?
If we say it's safe and you get stabbed, will you blame us?

I find it hilarious when people ask "how safe" an Area is.

Nothing wrong with it but I find people asking on say yelp, "So is San Francisco safe?"

That's not a yes or not absolute question. I had a friend stabbed to death, so no? Yet I have not been stabbed to death, so yes?

I'm curious what kind of response they're looking for.

Overall, do you feel SF is noticeably safer (or less safe) than comparable cities in the US?
Can you reasonably expect your belongings to be stolen from your vehicle?
Are break-ins an issue in certain neighborhoods?
Are muggings or assaults an issue when going out on the weekends?
What is your personal sense of safety in SF versus similar-sized cities you've lived in?

Or, to summarize, is SF safe? :dunno

He asked if a specific corner is safe. The consensus is no.

In my experience, SF is SUPER violence safe, but super property unsafe. It is a City full of cowards and thieves. This is based on being a former resident of thew Sunset/Richmond and someone who has worked downtown, mainly in the Tenderloin for almost 10 years. BVHP may be an exception, but that is one hood I pretty much NEVER have a reaosn to go out to.

My apologies I wasn't trying to attack the OP, their reasonable question, and any follow-up. Just my weirdness.

This whole country is a death trap compared to Canada!

Not if you consider the danger of being grossed out to death by Poutine.
