That is a painting acually. Disco (from BARF) did it for me from a photograph in ‘86 with my youngest son Kyle.

It was part of my pre race protocol.
Older bro got the special high five and K got picked up and told “Dad is going to go race now. I love you and will be back in 1/2 hour”.

When he got a little older it transitioned to a special high five thing. It is my favorite racing picture.

Neighbor around the corner has 2 giant piles of wood chips on their lawn, been sitting there for several months. I went over to ask if they mind if I take some.
Someone answered, but didnt open the door and just yelled through it.

"Hello?"
"Hi I'm you're neighbor from around the corner an--" -Me
" I'm just a KID!!!"
"Ok are your parents coming soon?" -Me
" NO!"
"Ah well I was wondering if yall mind if I take some piles of the woodchips on the lawn" -Me
" NO I PAID FOR THOSE WOOD CHIPS AND I AM NOT GOING TO GIVE THEM AWAY EVER"

I have a new love for the Danes I was previously unaware of. This is beautiful policy. They should also consider this a potential part of their criminal justice system.
 
am mildly curious about the ‘euthanasia’ bit. would seriously question if drugs are used - would render the meat dangerous for consumption. if they shared how it’s actually done, would probably be even more off-putting than the thought in general.

that said, visited a zoo in austria that had a ton of goats running around (very natural setting). the little kids were all over the cute goats. next up - feeding time at the wolf enclosure. goats being ripped to shreds. total carnage.
 
I think they use the bolt method, same as slaughterhouses,
 
I saw live chickens raised and let into the pens of anacondas which had been recovered and were thus rehabilitated for release. They are huge but don’t eat often as their meal is a snake bump for weeks. My friend was bitten by a baby anaconda he was relocating from a nearby tree, just a nibble tho, no biggie.
