Rep is gone?

Again, we eventually plan to have some sort of different post and/or peer rating system working, so that new members can get some idea as to whom they should pay attention (esp. in the moto sections) and who's full of shit.

We're looking at a couple of different plugin options right now, and will have something new to implement as soon as they're tested and the Admins agree upon which is the best one.

It had just become abundantly clear that Reputation Points were not doing the job, and that NO system would be better than a shitty one for the time bin.
 
I think the rep system would work as long as it wasn't active in the Sink, and it required multiple reps on a post before it would have any effect. I liked it as a way to give props to a specific post without adding a "+1" post to the thread.
 
i like giving and getting rep but i always thought that the public viewing of peopel green and red dots was kinda retarded. i know who i like and hate and green squares arent gonna convince me otherwise

The green squares really didn't tell you how many points the user had. The definition didn't really mean anything either. I bet there are members out there with 10,000 points who had the same squares and definition as somebody with 4000 pts. You never really know how much mojo they had until they repped you.
