Ride to Work Day June 21st - Press Event

I got some GoPros on Monday night and have been recording my commutes across the bridge the last couple of days. I will post a short vid about how nice it can be Budman, you are on. I will show up at 4:30am and video you bowing to the early arrival...hahaha....I think If I'm not there have a muffin and cup o joe on me...

Looks like I am going to make that early ass trek to join in.

Next year I would love to distribute banners to barfers to hold on over passes on this day.. welcoming riders and letting cagers know what up and we are riding! That would be a hoot.. and if we get some traction the banners are on me / 1Rider.

Is the parking lot entrance on the left side of the approach to the bridge? It would really suck to get there and be forced over the bridge...Ill try n make it, it will be early.

What's the press part of the press event? Are there going to be speakers or something? If I show up at 4:30, will I just be sitting around freezing my ass off until things start at 6:00? I don't mind getting up early if it's going to help out, but if I'm just bored for hours I don't see much of a point.

Just another Monday morning. Rain, wind, sun, snow, or hundreds of cellphonetalkingmakeupputtingonratdogholdingblindtoriders will not stop me from riding in my whopping 11 miles. If I get up early enough, I will roll from Concord to Benicia via the Bay Bridge.

There will be some folks from various agencies there.. I am not sure what time what will happen etc.. so I would not want someone sitting around for two hours to see something..

for me, every day is ride to work day.

probably get two moto owners other than myself at the office who'll ride in if it's not too hot/cold/windy/foggy/too much traffic/etc.

'tis sad really tried to get the moto owners I knew of to arrive early and take the parking spots in the front lot so they'd be visible last year. But since there wasn't some big event, no one was interested.

so much for "lifestyle" when the 'style is more about polishing chrome or sideshows than actually riding as part of "life"

gonna be too far south to join up with this event, gotta be at work by 7

On Monday it is National motorcycle Ride to Work Day. So get out and It would be cool to flood the streets with the Moto!

The CMSP will be hosting a media event to promote the day's ride into the City.

Supporting the media event is a good thing, so if it is close, on your way or you are just going to show up you can stop by and enjoy some free coffee and muffins' courtesy of MSF.

I think you roll past the toll booths through the lot and enter back into WB traffic there. You might also be able to enter before the toll plaza. Can't remember exactly, but I see the LEO's coming in from all over the place to pull people over.

ride to work day is great. although it is like mothers day or fathers day. if you treat your mom and dad good one day a year what's the point? shouldn't every day be mother's day, father's day and ride to work day? it is at my house. i am not saying this to be negative. anything that could get more people aware of riders and possibly more people riding is a GREAT thing. i am at the toll plaza every morning. maybe i will be a little earlier tomorrow.

Well shit. I completely forgot I have a dentist appointment at 8 in the morning. While I won't be able to get out to the bridge event, I'll be on the bike all day anyway...just like every other day.
