There's only so many contrarian hot takes from Lou I think have even a marginally positive effect on the community. Agree with the suspension as well.

By vote of the moderators, Louemc has been suspended. Lou was asked multiple times through both posts in the open forum and in PMs to find a way to interact with other members in a civil and constructive way, and above you see his response to one of those requests.
One of the cool things about BARF is that it is a party to which everyone is invited. Budman hosts this party in his living room. If the host of the party asks you politely to be more courteous to his other guests, and you blow him off, you get shown the door. However, Bud is pretty gracious, and he lets people come back, and if their behavior stops being an issue, everything is copacetic.
Lou is an institution around here. He's been riding longer than most of us (yes, even me!) have been alive. He's got a tremendous base of experience, and we'd love for that to be shared in a way that others can hear. We're looking forward to his return.

LouI hope you guys pm'd him with warnings about the impending action you took...

I also very much hope that he comes back willing to articulate what he is thinking and offer advice, instead of just insults. Fingers crossed.

I guess my point is (I think there is a point there somewhere), part of your job, the rider's job, is to make sure your shit is right. Crashing and blaming the tire? You put it on there, you knew it was there. Why would you put it on there and then blame the tire? Same with the suspension being out of adjustment or whatever. It's your bike. It's your ass out there. If it is less than what you consider optimum, slow the fuck down.
I concur ^^ - My interpretation of Lou is he is passionate about riding, riders, and safety.
I have nobody on my ignore list. I believe there is value in every BARF post![]()
This^^^
But like many, I have my breaking point.
Sooner or later enough is enough.
(I will also take this opportunity to look in the mirror and tighten up my own game)

For uni, this must have been what Arya felt when Syrio Forel was cut down in front of her.

Hang in there, man. He'll be back soon.

uni, he has been told publicly to modify his delivery on NUMEROUS occasions. I understand that the moderators have also sent him numerous PMs along the same lines. Like you, I hope that he comes back. I also very much hope that he comes back willing to articulate what he is thinking and offer advice, instead of just insults. Fingers crossed.

I am bummed this took place, but we asked and asked Lou to adjust just a bit.
I would prefer any other discussion be in a different thread. This thread has some value and the current tangent may cause it to be lost in the world of barf drama.
Thanks
yeah, nice avatar talking shit about the guy even thought he's suspended.
you are such a piece of work, i'm almost embarrassed for you
