You were a wonderful soul. I will miss you, and I so understand the demons that finally took you away from us. I am sorry that I did not keep in touch.
 
This is Craig, Miri's boyfriend. Thank you all for the kind words, it made me cry seeing how much support she has but didn't appreciate. In her honor, she wanted donations made to VOTK.org, a big cat rescue in Wisconsin. Her brother wanted people who weren't local to Chicago to post to lylith.com/blog and leave a happy memory in the comments.

Craig, thank you for posting. I'm so very sorry for your loss... Miri was a good friend to me when she was up here, and an absolute rock at a bad time in my life when I needed it.
I never got to be there for her... so if I can for you, please... let me.
Miri was amazing... and it makes me so sad that she never saw that.

Wonderful pic... she hadn't changed a bit since the last time I saw her...
 
I remember first meeting Miri through BARF. My wife and I had just moved up from Santa Barbara and I organized a group ride to meet people. Miri posted that she wanted to go and I put her on my bike. I recall she just enjoyed it so much, the wind through her hair, the serenity of the hills and the views from the top. It was so wonderful that she enjoyed such simple pleasures. Reminded me to not take life so seriously, that every day is a gift. Thank you so much, ride fast and free Miri !!!
