NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Goddamn, end of a fuckin era. RIP Ozzman! 🤘

My first time seeing Black Sabbath was at Winterland way back in '73 or 74. I was engaged immediately being right up on the stage in front of Geezer Butler so Ozzy was to my right. Fucking amazing.. never seen anything close. Tried to see them every time they came back and saw Ozzy doing his solo thing several more times before again seeing them reunite. END OF DAYS Tour amazed me at how much they still were the same. Since Ozzy never was doing crazy athletic shit on stage it seemed like they still were the same.

Today its official. :(

Even the Mrs. called to tell me.

Condolences to all his fans that will miss his ass. :rose

Tonight I will bark at the moon in his honor.

Sabbath / Ozzy is the playlist today

RIP Ozzy :rip

Black Sabbath was a totally different vibe when they first came out with the occult lyrics and somber sound.
Ozzy’s voice was unmistakable. Funny thing is that instead of a brooding stage persona that matched the music he performed with a big grin and exuded such joy.

BBC has some good stuff on Ozzy.

Including a small clip of the last time he sang Iron Man.

From the last show in the birth place of Black Sabbath.

RIP to an absolute LEGEND
Mamma I'm coming home....
Generals Gathered in their Masses....
No more tears... :cry

How about this one....don't sleep on the Madman OZZY!

I saw ozzy, with randy rhoads, when they were the opening band at a day-on-the-green concert (heart, boc, pat travers, loverboy, ozzy.) I had no idea about the sabbath connection or who he was at all... it was just another unknown opening act (i believe the band was billed as "blizzard of oz".) They fucking killed!!
I remember being completely mesmerized by songs I'd never even heard before! I bought the first album (cassette) the next day and wore it out! Been a fan ever since. The first 3 solo albums are masterpieces! I saw him several times after that, always great. But I'll never forget watching them that first time thinking "who the fuck are these guys?!"

Ozzy dressed up and looking good there Jesse!

My son asked me if I wanted to go to Birmingham for his final show. I told him why would I want to go to Alabama...

He said.. Dude Dad it is in England. While the sound is not great this is close as I will get.
The crowd singing along is pretty cool. He left a mark on metal... sort of like invented it.

You can see where he wanted to get out of his chair and just could not. His heart wanted too, but his body said no more sweet Prince of Darkness.
