Sedici gloves?

I woke up from the "expensive = quality" dream years ago.
The only reason I even considered trying Sedici was because I grew tired of replacing A* and others at the same rate.

Helimot > Alpinestars. Plus, he's local. :thumbup

I actually have been using the other sedici glove and have really like them. The first pair, the velcro started pulling off from the wrist band, took them back, got a new set. So far, 2 months of commute from Oakland to SF, haven't had any problem. They fit well, super comfy...I am just keeping an eye on the stitching, but other than that, no complaints from me.

For comparison, I have worn: Joe Rocket (their top of the line), RS Taichi (my favorites) and A*. Are the Sedicis in the same class, no...but bang for buck, I really cannot complain

You really don't know 'Bang for the Buck' until you crash in them. If some of them fall apart from regular use, how will they hold up to crash impact? Not all expensive gloves are good though so do some research... The magazines do some thorough gear reviews:)

With no intent of causing a stir....I technically can't speak to bang for buck, if that classification is only used in terms of a crash. I have only crashed in the Joe Rockets that I had....But, I get your point, and at the same time, I am not saying that I would take Sedici over another higher priced brand (the Taichis were out of stock that I wanted to get). I was just saying for the money I spent, the lifetime warranty, and the more superficial stuff like comfort and appearance, I don't find them to be horribly bad.

I've been using these for almost a year now. http://www.cyclegear.com/CycleGear/...3808_59409_2?gclid=CJrHtN7giL0CFY0-Mgod8HEAGQ

Only wrist strap stitching came off on one of them after 6 months usage. I didn't needs a receipt, just got a replacement after 6 months usage (under lifetime warranty). The new ones I got are the same model, but seem more better built. I don't think stitching will come off on these. The leather, carbon fiber, and padding seem decent. They are vented, and confidence inspiring.

Some of the big name brands I tried didn't even fit comfortably (but to each their own)...

No stir caused my friend:) Just wanted to point something out. Recovery from injury sucks... Some good research and a smart purchase can prevent / reduce that:)

Completely agree. I only purchased mine as a "for the time being" until I could get better...but was pleasantly surprised.

I have had the same gloves for over a year, daily commuter in the summer as well as a handful of trackdays on them. No issues other than I have sweat in them so much they are not really the same color any more. I will probably replace them with another pair.

This is exactly what I did. I got a pair of Ultimo's for some ridiulously low price (there was a sale). They fit my hand very well and were extremely comfortable. Stiching held up fine for the few months I wore them. I replaced them with Racer R-Safe's and put the Ultimo's up as back-ups. So I cannot say how they would hold up over the long term or how well they would hold up in a crash; thankfully I never got to find out. But I had no complaints. I think I was most surprised by how well they fit my hand. I will say that when I look at the Ultimo and then the R-Safe the difference in quality and contruction is pretty obvious. Still they were OK for what they are.
