Sf biker kills pedestrian

I just don't understand how a grown adult does not look both ways before crossing the street. The motorcyclist is definitely at fault but you can guarantee that if the woman looked thoroughly before crossing she would be alive. Pedestrians in SF are too entitled and forget that getting hit by a moving vehicle will end their life.

Not sure if the MC is at fault for hitting the pedestrian, just not enough information. For all we know she just jumped out into the street without looking.

Absolutely sure the MC committed a crime by leaving the scene of the accident, which also raises the possibility there was a reason for running...increasing the possibility that MC rider was at fault. But we don't know.

I had a pedestrian pop out in front of me before on geary st, if it wasn't for quik reflexes the pedestrian would have been dead. The pedestrian crossed outside of the sidewalk behind a box truck against a green light. If you want to die that is your part of the equation, I don't necessarily blame the rider for leaving. Some of these peda-philes seem to have a death wish. What did we learn at 5 years old about looking both ways before crossing the street. Sucks for all involved but we need to respect that you can't walk out in front of a car and expect them to be able to react.

I actually find it hard to believe someone would step out without a big look see.

You would be absolutely amazed. People do it all the time. Recently I have noticed an increase of people walking through cars stuck at lights while I am splitting.

Particularly here. IN fact note the guy on the bike and the bus in the street view shot. Imagine them coming out between cars in front of that. This place backs up and there are skateboarders coming from the skatepark and crack heads walking through all the time. Almost nailed a kid who popped out from in front of a van just last week.

AS for crossing the street it amazes me the people with zero regard for getting hit.

That's because you're from a generation that was smarter about these kinds of things. If you ever drove around Albany or El Cerrito schools in the morning, you would be appalled by the absolute lack of any effort to even look up from their phones as they step off the sidewalk into the street without skipping a beat.

The streets are full of mentally ill people and drugged out people who simply don't give a rip if there is a car coming. Then there are all the young punks in hoodies who think they are bad ass for walking in the streets.

In black hoodie and black jeans as well (because that's the only color young people wear these days)

I am Bud's age and you are absolutely right.
