SFO plane crash (7/6/13)

The apology. They apparently sticking to their story that they confirmed the names with the NTSB.

That makes you wonder -- or rather clarifies -- just how little actual reporting news agencies do these days.

3rd victim died at general just now...

My friend was an intern there awhile ago, apparently the interns are allowed to insert and edit the images behind the anchor, and are probably allowed to submit facts as well. He made it sound like the error/fact checking was minimal/non-existent.

that's an awesome replay.
seems accurate too based on the video of the crash and other information i've seen/read.

the cockpit should have a screen with this type of information.
- display the path of the ideal 'ghost-plane' and the path of the actual plane.
it would be just feedback to the pilots and would not affect any controls.
- this way the pilots can tell quickly, if they are too low.

It is awesome, but I don't think it takes airspeed into account, only trajectory/altitude.

Normally operating gear, but the glide path system was down that day for maintenance.

Clear day, VFR in effect, assuming 3 pilots on the bridge can remember how to actually takeoff, fly and land aircraft.
