My dream helmet would be HJC's latest carbon fiber lid with Edvard Munch's Scream character on it like Rossi's face.
 
It fits, and protects the fleshy bits so I like it :thumbup

Z1R forever.

After reading the old report about an upstart company whose $50.00 DOT only helmet slaughtered the top Snell rated helmets for safety, I decided to go with an ECE rated Z1R Venom Shadow.

Best helmet I've ever owned.

Liked it so much I asked for a Venom Firecracker for Christmas.

just got this helmet today. it's my first shoei. previous helmets were all arai quantums.

That X-11 is sick :thumbup

But if the Quantum fit you perfectly, ie you have a round head shape, you got the wrong Shoei for the job :( That would be an RF-1000/1100 for you.

Just bought myself an Arai Quantum II for 360.00$ Only wish they made Red Visors for their helmets :(
Dropped my poor scorpion 3 times so far, just felt it wasnt safe to use in case of an accident so i got this. Feels so much lighter and Balanced than scorpion...Loving it so far!

i've been using medium quantum for my previous helmets and they've all been great except the latest quantum II. i get terrible pain pressure on the side of my head towards the top after about an hour of riding. so i decided to go with something different.

Shite that doesn't sound good :( If your head was more oval than the quantum shape (which is a round shaped lid) it would hurt at the forehead or back of the head, not sides.

Did you try out the X-11 yet? When looking at the top of your head, is it more oval or more round (the distance between the temples in comparison with the distance between forehead and back of head)?

yeah never had any pressure issues at the forehead or back of the head. i have a round head. maybe medium quantum II is just slightly small.

i tried the x-11 on for about 30 mins and it wasn't too bad. i won't know for sure until i'm out in the hot sun in the Summer.

i did noticed when trying on the RF1000 and X-11 that on the X-11 there is a little more room between my forehead and the helmet. the RF1000 has a little room and my quantum II has no room at all.

Looks like the RF-1000/1100 was the right fit...there should be no free room anywhere and no overtly hard pressue anywhere either.
