Skyrim

Okay, couple more questions:

Lat night I bought the house in Whiterun and I furnished it with a bedroom set. When I went to take a nap on the bed it said the bed was "owned." By who? It's my fuckin house. Why can't I sleep in the bed I paid for?

And what's up with disease? I'll be walking past someone and they'll tell me I look like shit, so I take a "cure disease" potion and am all good... but how do I know if I have disease pf no one is around to tell me and if I don't cure it what happens?

And what about my companion? Can I heal them in battle? If they get killed are the dead forever? Do they ever sleep? Can I give them a heath necklace or a stamina ring and expect them to actually use it?

Disease can be checked in the menu Magic > Active Effects. You'll see any negative effects here.

Yes you can heal if you have the spells (pretty sure). They can die if YOU kill them. I've done it to pretty much all i've had so far. There are rumors of one that you can't kill.

Good luck on getting them to wear what you want them to. Hit or miss.

Maybe the house carl sleeps there.
go to your local temple and get that hep checked out. theres one in whiterun near the crazy guy in front of the shrine of talos. or become a werewolf and not worry about getting the aids. yes u can group heal.
yes they can get killed forever. yes you can give them armor, only way they can wear it is if its stronger than what they have, i think. I have no problems my followers wearin the armor i gave them. my total armor rating i gave kharjo is +1000, nearly invincible and playing on master.

I was at work today setting up gear on an abandoned pier down at the Port of Oakland. I was walking and I felt something snag on my shoes and I looked down and I had kicked some fishing line that was left there. For a second I was pretty sure I had just walked into a booby trap... :nerd

Kharjo is my current tag-along and compared to the three before him he's the best. I really like the shit he says.

I'm guessing with an armor rating of 1000 you've got some pretty swanky stuff a level 20 newb like me can't obtain.

i think kharjo has killed too many innocents.... :laughing
puss. went from hold to hold killing everyone that i can.
why cant i kill kids. :nchantr

You can get a mod (PC version) that allows you to kill children with the same death animations and mechanics as killing adults and creatures. This includes decapitation... I haven't gotten it, and I have to admit that it's very disturbing and its marked with all kinds of warnings on the mod website...

Yeah, so now I'm trying to get the second piece of some dude's amulet from his dead son's crypt and I'm pulling this lever to release a bridge and all that happens is these spikes from the door jamb try and skewer me. I can't find any way to lower the goddam bridge anywhere.

Shit like this pisses me off.

Yeah.

Gave up and sought help on Youtube last night. It feels like cheating though. Whatever, hiding shit is silly.

Goddamn green dragon is kicking my ass now.

i don't think level designers think of it as hiding shit.

they just want you to use all the magic / skills they've made available.

i learned this lesson with the whole Windsprint shout fiasco. i had literally used any shout less than 10 times but now i use several of them regularly just because that one dungeon puzzle.

didn't know where to post, but i figured you guys would be most likely to get the joke. :laughing

I used to be able to breakdance like that, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

:teeth

How can I fill my own soul gems?

I know it's got to do with Azura's star. I have the star and have taken it to her, but I can't beat the guy inside the star (yet). Am I doing the right thing?

use soul trap spell, or find a weapon that traps souls. i go with turning it to black star so it can gold human souls

So forget taking it to the chick and take it to the dude at the College of Winterhold?

I know I can find this info on the web, but in my book that's cheating. Asking a fellow BARFer for help isn't.

Yeah. That's the way my brain works. All by itself.
