Yeah, take it to the guy in WH. I usually have a bow that i enchant with soul trap. If you are a mage, then you would have to use the spells i guess.

After I converted it to the Black Star, the lady at the Azura temple talked smack, so I assassinated her....'need to gain an invitation to the Brotherhood'

Yeah, it's shitloads better as the Black Star. Also, tip for beating the dude inside it - BUMRUSH. He doesn't have that much health, but if you give him even a slight head start he'll start sending dremora lords after you and they're a bitch. They hit hard, have way more health than him, and generally just suck to deal with. Bumrush the shit out of him and whale away with dual wield or whatever your most powerful melee is. If you have spells that paralyze, those work well too, or enchant/poison your weapons with a paralyzing spell to keep him from running.

Hey, on another note, is it possible to have your "hang around" do stuff at the forge or arcane enchanter? My smiting skills are weak but my bro's are pretty strong. I asked him to use a workbench and he banged on something but didn't actually "do" anything.

Won't do you any good even if he can. You don't really need smith skills though...Mace of Molag Bal > any Daedric 1H weapon. Enchanting you'll want to max out for dual enchantments. Good way to max out both is smith iron daggers and then enchant them with the banish enchantment. They sell for about 1k each. I don't keep any soul gems except black ones, and I just buy filled grand ones when i'm actually going to enchant something. All filled gems go to enchanting daggers for money. A great perk to have in the Speech tree is the "sell any item to any vendor". Once you have that you can use those daggers as currency for any trainer, any alchemist, etc to essentially get what you want for free.

Fuck it. Go kill another one somewhere else. On my new file I haven't even started the main questline yet just so that I can do all my side-questing without being attacked by dragons every 10 seconds. Thieves guild - completed. Dark brotherhood - almost completed. Thane of Markarth, Solitude. Own both houses. And not a single dragon killed so far :teeth but I have 3 of the priest masks and like 8 shouts ready to unlock. Makes the game FAR more fun for me to not get constantly harassed. Plus all the bones and scales get heavy...

I actually killed the dark brotherhood :) They were a bit too dark for me :)

When I was "invited" to go the abandoned shack I delayed for a long time and then showed up when I was a bit more bad-assed as a character... I ended up fighting the brotherhood leader instead of performing the test of obedience and it was a HARD fight and took many attempts :)

But afterwards the world felt like a nicer place...

But as far as an invite... Find the little boy in Windhelm I think it was... everyone in the town is talking about him so he's not hard to locate...
 
I have Azura's Star now, got it from the moping dude in the tavern at Winterhold. How do I get it to trap souls? Fuckin-a.

I'm so fucking A.D.D. all I want to do is kill shit and suck up their fucking souls and magic school is beat. But at least I'm in the Saarthal dig getting ready to kick some fucking ass and get the last piece of the amulet. Then I bet I'll get to go fuck up a buncha more undead motherfuckers to put it together and have the raddest fuckin necklace in all of Skyrim. Ancient bling motherfuckers. Maybe that will get me the mage bitches to take off their clothes and I won't have to undress them AFTER I've killed them. Yeah. For reals. I take off all their robes and shit. It's best when they die all bent over a rock so I get the ass. Yeah. Imma take a pic for y'all next time. For reals.

Oh, and I'm a Baird now. Oh boy... fags.
