So... I'm jerking around with this scammer

...i will wait your email with the payment information
the mtcn# and your full name and addres...

So how about sending him that information? Or at least, something along the lines of that information?

Dunno, somehow I think to keep it going (and hence, your entertainment value) you've got to sweeten the pot. Gotta keep it realistic though.

Problem is, now you've threatened the involvement of the authorities, and he might catch on when they don't show. <shrug>

Dude man, this bozo keeps on calling me. I asked him to drop the price to $2000 and he agreed. He's got some balls (or may be he is very stupid), it's like mentioning of FBI doesn't register with him. Still asking me to go to Western Union.

I just told him to call me back in an hour after I can find a money gram store. Man, I am going get him off my back, not fun anymore.

do some research on the internet and the next time he calls tell him the FBI is watching you closely and told me they are in contact with the greek version of the fbi (do your research) and that they will be contacting you shortly on suspision of internet fraud... :thumbup

O M G ! !

This guy just called me again and I finally told him that they, as in FBI came again and they even took my money for investigation. I told him that FBI wants me to take down his passport # and they will conduct further investigation.

He actually put me on hold and called me back with, what he said, a Romainia passport # of 08392743. UN-FREAKING-BELIEVEABLE.

Now, how do you get info. out of this passport #? Can I even verify if the name and passport # match up?

Note: I'M NOT PLANNING ON BUYING THE BIKE, just want to find out who this scammer is .

He added, if my money isn't wired in 2 hrs, there will be no deal. Well, that would be his 5th time saying that.

Have you ever ask him about the VIN on the vehicle? I'm assuming that all the bikes worldwide has a VIN number on it. Why not check it out through there: who the owner and where is it registered...if possible.

Good suggestion, Wannaduck. I've just asked him and he gave me the model number: GSX-R 1000....

He doesn't know what a VIN is.

I think these are the final email exchanges b/w us - enjoy

From him to me:

this is the vin number: VIN Number: JS1GT75A732110143

if you thinck that i am a scamer good bye and i will sell to anouther client

this is the vine number.serch and see that this is the numebr

it is ok i have anouther client how want it.

bye and i am sorry that you lost your time with me.

From me to him:

thank you for the entertainment. Your posts have been advertised everywhere and everyone is looking at you like a damn clown. Go waste your time and see if you can scam someone else. I've heard that Nigeria has bunch of dumb asses just like yourself, I'm sure you can take their money there. later bozo.

Now Barfer's, without subscribing to car fax, is there a way I can plug in the VIN # to see if it is valid?

I've used autocheck.com, it gives the description of the bike, but it shows no history. I've checked ebay, it is a bike that is put up for sale @ $9K, silver. NOT a blue/white like this scammer is saying and it is NOT with 2300 miles like this scammer is saying. At least he is 1/2 way creative.

Arrgh, just want to meet up with this guy and kick the crap outta him!

:laughing :laughing Bet you'd kick yourself if you find out he was legit!! Seriously though, I wonder if the dealer can trace the VIN to at least a location. If it is outside the US, I highly doubt that the DMV will even have a record of it.

Wannaduck, I tracked down the bike, it was being sold in Ebay for $9K in IL ( I think ) not in Greece and definitely not for $2K.
