You need to take all them buckets of cash you got selling off the bling and get yourself a puter that can run decent softwarez--iMovie which comes with most Macs these days is super easy to use, and if it doesn't do the yob, there are plenty of other great apps available--including the one that pretty much every movie preview you've seen which was produced in the last ten years--Final Cut Pro.

This is an old version but the subject matter is appropriate.

The more modern interface:

Multi-cam editing!

:rofl

I need to switch to mac to do videos well. Otherwise I use Adobe Premiere, gives some of the same abilities as finalcut pro or Imovie, just on a PC so it still is a pain.

That multicam editing, now that's trick... I know wot I'm buying myself for xmas :teeth

Thanks mtpockets for letting me try a couple of laps on your little RS for size today.:party
My God, so much better than the NSR50 and so much peppier had I found the GP shifter and put it to use.:laughing
I'm gonna check out that link you mentioned with the for sale bikes.:cool

haha, don't ask me; I stayed in 5th the whole time....that baby bike topped out at like 22 mph.:rofl

Thanks for the pics Koi!!! You rock.
That little kid schooled us though, zoom is right. 100 lb weight advantage helped too.:rofl

That is Brett Vorhees and he races with SMUSA and is wicked fast on a CR85SM. He does really well on this NSF100 too.

Bats at the Tracks

Lots of fun today--so very few photos.

Big thanks to MT Mike for making this possible. :thumbup

I could make excuses all day for getting my ass kicked by a little kid.:laughing

Zen and the art of quality

I did a lot of work with Premiere back on the 68040--the crashing I can live without--they've probably made it a whole lot better since then. :p

The big thing to realize is that there is a huge difference between ability and feasibility. Just because it can be done doesn't mean that you'll be able to do it. Most people (and you can tell by the numbers) don't understand how important software, and proper design can improve their lives. They just buy the cheapest machine and figure that programs that come with it must be fine since so many other people use it. Imagine if we bought our motos this way--oh wait most people do!

Yeah I didn't know about the multi cam until I looked this up for Charlie--many way cool. :thumbup

I saw you guys out there having Fun-It was a good day.Everyone was smooth and aware.

That's so true. There's some amazing SuMo riders out there, but regardless of the skill or speed, the track seems to flow so easily and so do the riders.
Truly no attitudes.:thumbup

^^ No problem. To bad you couldnt put a few laps on it. The site to keep your eye on is USGPRU.net under classifieds. If you go back a few pages some times you find guys with these bike that had never sold. Alot of fun out there yesterday! Really good grip too.

*cough* video *cough*

load it up in YouTube for 1080p

and another to come in a week or so.........

Haha awesome getting passed by that little kid.:laughing

I'm still working on finding me something bigger than a baby clown pocket bike to come back with. Waiting on someexpert advice to see which way to turn.
New stock Aprillia 125 versus fully modded 91 RS125 freshened and with lots of spares?

Oh and Sikiriki....so glad you are down for mini track, but the track has cc limits......i think its 450 for SuperMotards sumos, or 50-150 ccs for mini racers? Gs500 is too big.
Then again, who knows what charlie has packed into his little bike:teeth

Dani
the Aprilia 125's are heavy, at least if u r talking about the new ones. either way tho, i'd stick with a RS125. you really dont want a 125cc stock motor tho, too much power, and you'll be rebuilding it more than you want - at great cost i might add. I plan to buy a RS125, hopefully a roller frame, and put a 85cc stock dirtbike engine in it = my next project

yea i know they allow 450cc motards on the track, but i dunno about bigger than that. i doubt they'd turn away any type of dirt bike that has been made into a motard. No i dont think they'd let a GS500on the track - thats a full sized, 450lb bike with 50hp~ = too big

Size Matters

Hey Dani,

The Aprilia RS125 is a wonderful street bike--and a horrible track bike (for the tracks we have around here). It is heavy for the cart tracks and not enough bike for the bigger tracks. In a Sports Production class with Cagiva Mitos then you could have some fun, but it's really not meant to be a track bike, and any one that tells you they are track bikes is either ill-informed, or lying to you. For the cart track you want to be under 200lbs. Mike's bike is probably close to 150lbs.

Now if you were talking the Aprilia RSA/RSW125 that's a whole different story. Those bikes will challenge anything in their class, and with a decent rider will beat the grid fillers in Moto2, and everything entered into a Moto3 race. Just ask Maverick how he liked trading in his Aprilia RSA125 for a Moto3 specced Honda.

As far as full size bikes they wont let them on the cart track. When Jeff saw my black bike (GPR50) he said, "hey you know you can't take a full size bike on this track right?" Then he saw it was a 50cc and said--"oh that's okay."

As a rule of thumb--an 85cc two stroke bike will be plenty on the cart tracks--the main reason the Motards bring bigger bikes is that their riding style limits their corner speed keeping their over all speed more manageable.

The one I was looking at is a 2009 Rs125 with the SPAINS NUMBER 1 fairings, dry weight 280. It says not street legal which it isnt in the usa. But if this is the one you guys are saying is too bulky for mini track then let me know. its not the rsw for sure.:(

yes, that is the more street designed type of RS125, the newer type. not good for the track; way too heavy.
