** SPOILERS!** Random Motorcycle thoughts unworthy of a new thread

Here is a walk around the for the MotoAmerica Junior Cup bike.

The BBC just rolled out an article about Easy Rider.

More about American culture than moto's but a good read.

I love the movie.

This cracks me up as an OG.

It was fine candy for a 12yo mini bike riding kid... who really dug choppers too!
I saw Fonda's bike in Vegas around Y2K when they were doing some feature about the film.

Saw both bikes at the motorama here in town around when the movie came out.
Also got the soundtrack vinyl album.
"Nyk, nyk, Indians!"

Is it worth running a radar detector anymore?

With all of the highway speed signs, mobile speed signs various automotive proximity detectors and such constantly setting off my Valentine One it seems to be more of an annoyance than a ticket saver.

I have always trusted dumb luck, but appreciate buds using one. The roads like Poline going to Hawthorne seem to be worthy of use. Saved our asses there once.

I would assume it is good in a lot of remote places.

No room to run one on my Duc so I rely on luck. Makes for the occasional unplanned chat on road trips :laughing

You can program your V1 to filter out almost all non-cop radar and lidar. I always have a V1 in the cars and motorcycles. They save me from a ticket 1-3x a year.

I use RAM mounts on all my motorcycles, fairing mount, mirror mount, or handlebar. RAM has it all. There is a V1 in the pic, on the right side of the motorcycle.

Wiring them in is the challenge. It was a little more complicated for me because I wire in a (painfully) loud speaker so I don’t miss the alerts.

If Lithium Ion batteries are so good and light, why haven’t manufacturers provided them as original equipment and designed charging systems specifically for them?
