I am re-finishing a piece of furniture and i am looking for the best remover for the existing stain / varnish. What say ye BARF? what works the best?

Green's is the shiznit for removing finishes. Slather some on there, wait for it to bubble and wrinkle and stuff and it scrapes right off. I believe they also make a thicker formula so you don't have to worry as much about splash and splatter.
