So, see how the trichomes look like stalks? Wait until they look like stalks with balloons on the end. Then those balloons will turn milky, then amber.

Should I remove all the tiny budding colas lower on the plant that are growing but much smaller due to less light?

Incidentally, I find the carbon filter so effective at smell removal I don't even vent outside anymore, I just crack the garage door for fresh air.

How small are they? Because last thing you want to do is start cutting stuff off this late into flower and send your plant into shock? Usually I prune early in veg and throw up a scrog so everything below the net is bare stalk and everything above is a cola. Next go around you're going to have great results.

I've read of the method. Next time I'll do some trimming.

It's really good for high yields with only a few plants. I have a buddy who only does scrog and has a couple plants and yields 2.5lbs a light. I get that's not what you're after but my point is, scrog is one of the best methods.

Why don't you try dwc next time around or something different? It's fun to experiment.

Hey Jack,
It would really help if you introduced yourself or something, whether here or in the newbie section. Most of us know or have met each other. I can't speak for the others but it sketches me out seeing a brand new poster with a fake name and location, joining this particular thread.

Maybe I'm paranoid. Who knows?

Ah yes. I was considering it. I have 1 kit.I'd want to do it with a second pump that sprays the roots with the nutrient water. If I do that I might do just 2 plants.

You mean drips from the top? DWC as I experienced it was an aggregate (expanded clay pellets) fed continuously from the top. Once set up and balanced, it was the easiest, fastest growing medium. The maintenance during a 6-8 week cycle was: add nute water, check ph. That's it.

For sure two plants with 500-600W of light can oversupply a person doing 5 cycles a year. Having a small space a few plants allows for much more pampering, and gets better results.
