We are doing a remodel and need all new appliances and I would like to use one brand. OMG they can $1,000-$10,000 each more or less. Reliability and customer support is hard to gauge so we turn to the BARFhive.
What I am looking for is what is the best Brand for quality and customer support. What say you?

What Appliances are you looking to install? I recommend Viking for your Range and they can do a 'Fridge, but they do not make dishwashers as far as I know.

Looking for everything. Range, Microwave, Fridge, Beverage Cooler, Dishwasher. We have a mix of bitchin' stuff here but I'd like to go with one Bitchin' manufacturer. The style I like is a Thor Kitchen but they don't seem to have good customer service reviews.

And Butch just has to have an espresso machine!

I mean, most manufacturers that produce everything are a Jack of all trades, masters of none. Samsung might be your best bet for one stop shopping, but I don't like their gas equipment.

I don't even own a microwave, it makes food texture weird. My kids broke the last one putting metal in it and I never replaced.

I'm open to having mixed appliances if that's the better route.

We redid our kitchen in 2022 and couldn’t find a brand that covered everything.
But we at least wanted everything to be stainless steel.
It was easy to match the same surface material. Hard to find one brand for everything mainly due to space and size requirements.
We ended up with a Thermador range, Bosch dishwasher, Bosch oven, Bosch microwave and LG ref.
3 years in and no issues with anything so far.

i completely agree with eldritch - look for the best, regardless of mixing brands. wrt to gas cook tops - have had several, and always hated that they’re hard to get low enough heat to simmer without a simmer plate. finally found a thermador that has simmer settings on 2 of the 5 burners. awesome. dishwasher? bosch - whisper quiet + third shelf at the top. never knew how handy that would be. fridge? all i can say is NO ICE DISPENSER IN THE DOOR. get one that has an auto filled tub in the freezer. other thing I’d recommend is a warming drawer. our house came with one, and i thought it was silly when i saw it. love it now. never have to worry about food being ready at the same time. use that damn thing all the time.

and while you’re at it, if you don’t already have ‘em, replace your pots and skillets with hex-clad. life changing. they’re bulletproof. and you’ll never have to soak or scrub again.

Did a big remodel in 2019. Gas Range Wolf, Fridge, and dishwasher kitchenaid, Microwave Sharp drawer. Espresso maker Jura. Fridge died this year. Repair tech said $3500 to repair. I told him I will buy new before spending that much. He said get a GE they have the least repairs. So I now have a GE fridge.

I vote for Hexclad too. Good stuff and long lasting.
Costco has sets for sale at the best price I’d wager.

Also vote for best of multi-brands that match well enough. But right or wrong, I’m cautious about all non-stick pans and Hex-Clad just settled a class action for 2.5 M on pans bought 2022-2024 from misrepresenting as toxic chemical free while always containing PFAS and PTFE. Eligible for payouts until Nov 14, ‘25.

i got a super quiet, nicer GE dishwasher back in 2022 and it works a treat. it has a third row for little things that i like.

yeah - false advertising. but PFAS and PTFE don’t start to break down until 500f. you can get a great sear or char around 400f. and they’re no where near as delicate as other non-stick cookware. if you think you’re going to push the envelop, IMO, nothing beats enamel coated cast iron. when i bought the hex-clad, i got rid of everything except the le creuset.

I recently bought a used hamilton beach microwave at a yard sale. So far, it's meeting my all expectations... it heats up my coffee. :laughing

We sold our microwave for three bucks at a garage sale almost 20 years ago. Byeeeee.

Toaster oven > Microwave.

As for advice on appliances, get ones with actual buttons and knobs if you can. An oven/fridge/dishwasher should not have touch display computer bull crap. I'm cranky about buttons and knobs being replaced with computer screens in everything.

I got all new appliances last year.

I can't tell you what any of them are :laughing

Happy wife happy life thing.

"Mom, can you make me some toast?"
"No, but how about some bread fried with air?"
