Hey Harbaugh, I see Vernon Davis got a concussion, did you fire him yet?
srsly tho...man, SFs superbowl chances got dealt all kinds of blows the last two weeks. Crabtree, Moss, and Walker are the only ones pretty much left who can play, and Moss is iffy if he's anything more than the 3rd receiver. Gore is looking beat up.
And we won't know about Justin Smith until each game starts, but I'd figure that if there was any chance of playing last sunday, he'd have been out there. the fact that he wasn't tells me his injury is quite serious.
SF could probably handle all those injuries, except Smith's.
regarding the Manninham tackle: ouch! I try to judge these things by the "Romanowski" factor. because I knew every time Romo went to tackle someone, his intent was to injure them. I did not see the Romo-factor on that play.
However, I did see a defense that was very energetic and extremely motivated to show the football world that they were just as vicious, if not more vicious, than their SF counterparts. Just as SF's defense does not let up even 1% on a play, Seattle's defense was hitting with no regard to their personal safety nor their opponent's. They were out to hit as hard and as they could, and if that meant an injury on either side, then so be it. I don't believe there was a premeditated decision to take out Manninham's knees. But I'm sure that there was no thought of his personal well being on the hit either. I can see the argument of a dirty hit. Though to me, it seemed more of a product of the nature of very agressive defenses than anything else.
