The Official 2012 NFL Thread

Love the passive agressive roll eyes :laughing

As for credit...eh. He's not an accurate QB. Ive read that and Matt Millen even mentioned it this morning on the radio. He scrambles and the defense breaks down.

I'm not saying to take him on purpose but go after him and not be hesitant. Hitting him hard will prevent some scrambling. Look what happen to RGIII. As for retaliation, part of the game. Niners run a different offense and will be fine.

Maybe I should have just given you this :twofinger instead. :laughing

So your opinion on RW as a QB is based on what you have read? Lame! Seattle should have named another lame LSU QB (Flynn or Jamarcus Russel) the starter instead. H8ters gonna H8. :twofinger

edit:
Me thinks you don't know what the fuck you are talking about mate. RW is 8th in the league in completion percentage.

If I based it on what I saw you would have said thats just my opinion and not fact :laughing

I'm going to listen to an ex player and GM who studies film for a living than a Seahawks fan...which I'm guessing you are.

Jamarcus is no where near this conversation. Flynn is a good QB but Carol wanted to run the spread option. It just makes the defense game plan more and take a defender off the running back or QB. These type QBs just dont last cuz they WILL get blown up one time when they read the option wrong. All it takes is a linebacker to just go for the QB instead of the ball.

And Alex Smith is #2 sitting on the sideline :laughing He's making completions cuz he scrambles, the play collapses and receivers and defenders separate and get open. You cant tell me his play is as smooth as Aaron Rogers or Peyton. A good amount of luck is involved.

Well Dubb, we are going to have to agree to disagree. Yes I am a Seattle sports fan so yes I'm going to correct inaccurate (pun intended) statements about my teams. :x

In general I would tend to agree with you about scrambling QBs not lasting in the league but certain players are able to have success IF they can also throw the ball, which in my opinion RW can. The game is changing as you see more and more teams opt for QBs that can avoid the sac and run the ball. There are only a few great pocket passers and those teams that have one (New England and Denver) are lucky, but the rest of the league is trending towards mobile QBs like RG3, Cam Newton, Kaepernick, and of course RW.

BTW, you create your own luck!

This is just pure stupid.

All these injuries, ugh. Along with the RGIII knee injury, on the same yucky field the Seahawks lost their best pass rusher to a torn ACL:

Critics are saying all teams should switch to fields with modern artificial turf for the reasons you noted above. Part of me likes to watch the game played on a field it was meant to be played, natural grass, but at the same time I'd rather athletes not have career ending injuries, so I fully support a push for teams to abandon natural grass.

Yeah, especially after watching RG yesterday, I definitely don't want the season extended beyond 16 games. Despite all the protective measures and penalties, many teams finished their seasons with subs. It SEEMED like more than usual, but I can't back it up.

dude, you're talking about matt millen. anybody who can throw darts at names on a board could be just as good a GM.

ND sucking azzzzzzz... :(

I thought ND's defense would play better than this. I didn't expect ND to win but I did expect a slug fest instead of a beat down! :laughing I would agree that ND deserved to be in this game but I don't think the number 1 and 2 teams in NCAAF are on the field. The matchup I wanted to see was Oregon and Bama.

but I don't think the number 1 and 2 teams in NCAAF are on the field.

The #1 and #2 teams in college football is called the SEC Championship. :laughing

I would like to see that big bruising Bama RB wearing a Fins jersey....though Mark Ingram was a Bama stud RB too but has been underwhelming in the NFL. Is it the system?

Except the #2 SEC team lost bad to Louisville. :laughing

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Robert Griffin III will undergo a full knee reconstruction after Dr. James Andrews diagnosed Griffin with "complete" tears of both his right ACL and LCL.

WHOOPSIES.

Good job, Shanahan.
